Re: Fairly comprehensive list of Spyderos in movies, tv shows, etc

I have a correction for the list. I happened to watch Terra Nova fairly recently, and the knife shown is not a Delica or Endura. It's some knockoff with an oval opening hole.

Re: Have I Gone Colorblind?

I picked up a Baldr Mini for my HK45 recently, but I agree with Olight that it's gunmetal grey. I was taking a look at the listing for the puffer jacket. I used to have a Vietnam-era M-1945 sleeping bag that was about the same color as their fatigue green (i.e., not green at all). LL Bean also an in...

This might be the first exclusive series where I actually try to collect each one, I like them so much.
Careful! That's a slippery slope! :)
Indeed. I committed myself to being Rex 45 complete in 2018...then Reveal 4 happened.

Seems like the Leek is to Kershaw what the Delica is to Spyderco. And the Delica has 4 different generations, each with a ton of color/blade/steel/handle material variations. Easily hundreds.
There are approximately 100 Delica SKUs, all generations included.

Re: New'ish addict......

It would be much simpler and cheaper to build a complete Endura collection. There are only about 50 SKUs. I can't say I share your fondness for the Leek, but I admire your dedication, and I'd love to see a pic of your collection.

Re: Spyderco Knock-offs, "Replicas"and Fakes

The knife is authentic. The style of the Seki ricasso stamps has changed a number of times. The FRN is correct, and only the newest Enduras have Sal's maker's mark like yours does. The maker's mark hasn't started appearing on counterfeits yet.

Here's the larger spreadsheet...

It looks like I remembered wrong on the softer Taichung M4. There's a GB2 that came back 63.1, and multiple M4 Mules (Golden manufactured) that all tested right around 61.

Re: Highest HRC for Spyderco

Rex 45 typically tests 66-67 with an occasional outlier. Golden M4 is about 63-65, but the Taichung stuff tested so far has been softer, in the 60-61 range. The 10V PM2s I've seen tested have mostly been in the 62-63.5 range, but BBB's came back 64.6. The K390 Police is around 64-65.5, but I think t...

Re: Would s110v family sale better w/o Blurple?

Blue used to be my favorite color when I was a kid. By the time I was in my mid-20s, I had developed positive associations with most other colors. I don't really care what color my knife scales are, as long as they don't look like something pumped out of a septic tank - the S90V burl G-10 Manix spri...

Re: Wow this is funny. Look at this guys feedback. Selling fake knifes even Benchmades

eCop is a huge business with a huge inventory. Their negative feedback is in line with what you see from many huge retailers - people receiving order cancellations or incorrect items about 1% of the time, with sketchy customer service if something does go wrong. They have hundreds of transactions pe...

eCop is a legitimate vendor. Why do you think they're selling fakes? 98.9% feedback is completely acceptable for a seller with nearly 2 million feedback.

Re: Swiss Army Alox Pioneer With Spyderco Dragonfly Blade Knife

I don't think there's anything particularly wrong with selling a mod like this as 'new', so long as all of the parts are from new knives, the work is professionally executed, and there is full disclosure as to what 'new' means in this context. Listing such an item as 'New (Other)' would be be within...
