Re: Favorite Spyderco 2017 Release So Far & Why

I like my Para 3 quite a bit. I prefer it to my PM2 for EDC. I just wish they'd located the clip nearer the end of the handle. Definitely my favorite 2017! Unfortunately, I'm looking at an aftermarket clip to make the Para 3 all I'd hoped it would be. It just might be perfect if I can find the righ...

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?

i first posted about trying an endura wharncliffe since i gave away the delica. i bought a green zome endura recently, but it's bigger than i like to edc. this said, i can't see myself with the bigger endura wharncliffe and will just replace the delica at a later time. it just seems it would be a bi...

para 3. bought this on a whim and having never owned a military or paramilitary, didn't know what to expect. pretty sweet knife for the money.

Re: Moratorium on buying any more Spydies...

i've picked up 8 since i climbed back in the saddle in march, but yeah, gotta slow down. not complaining though, i'm far away from the way i was back in the day when i had to have everything. i tend to favor 3" blades or less for edc so that narrows down the field. i have a pre-order pending an...

Re: An Epiphany!!!

the para 3 i mentioned above is my first compression lock. i was impressed. so much so it's going to replace my delica for edc. i can't believe i said that. action extremely smooth, lock up solid and lightweight. i tend to stay with blades 3" or under for carrying daily so when this was release...

Re: An Epiphany!!!

welcome to the forum farmer3. the delica is my favorite edc in the spyderco line up and i've owned more than my fare share. never encountered vertical play. not saying it never happens though. i have no clue how to fix that yourself, i doubt trying to tighten the pivot pin would remedy vertical move...

Re: Question about the Caly 3

I recently picked up a Caly 3.5 during the Amazon deal, and not to harsh out the opinion of anyone else on the board I simply do not like the knife. It is a very striking and beautiful knife BUT the handle is just too small for my ham hands to get a comfortable grip. Would someone who has both the ...

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

i got what was left of my spyderco collection stolen from my truck about 10 years ago. i picked up 2 knives then and carried them daily until i came back to this forum not long ago. a benchmade mini grip modified sheepsfoot i picked up used on their classified board for 25 bucks, yellow scales no le...

Re: Wharncliffe Endura: Likely or not? Do you want?

......I still think the Stretch would be waaaaay better as a wharnie...... first thing i thought of when i read that was a bm modified sheepsfoot griptillion, straighten that cutting edge a bit and..... i know, i know, blasphemy, lol. too much coffee this morning, the senior mind is a terrible thin...

i've yet to own an endura, the concept is interesting. since i've already given away my delica wharncliffe to a friend in need of one, i don't see why i wouldn't give it a go "to just see."

Re: looking at a frn serrated hawkbill byrd

Great blade and it now has me wanting to grab a Tasman Salt. i thought this would steer me away from the tasman in h1. the para 3 is my next purchase and i don't know how much i would use the serrated hawkbill to justify the additional cost between the byrd and tasman. honestly, i figured the money...

looking at a frn serrated hawkbill byrd

seriously looking at this knife based on the strength of an old crow i own with bcr13mov. the crow is currently the oldest knife i have continuously owned, 10 years maybe, and still going strong. has what appears to be aluminum scales and is partially serrated, the only full sized serrated blade i h...
