So what good is a sales pitch without some kind of hint for when they're shipping out to dealers?

i think the trick is to know the timing of the mail and have your new knife arrive on national knife day. i just ordered two new spydies yesterday for national knife day and now the wait........

Re: I think I caught SE fever

i'm already a spyderedge advocate, but i just ordered a se ladybug salt hawkbill and se sheepsfoot caribbean yesterday in celebration of national knife day. the se caribbean is like the synthesis of my three favorite models; the manix 2, yojimbo 2, and se pac salt. i may end up only carrying it inst...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

Same Same but different. I own the Delica wharncliffe so probably will not be getting a rock jumper as the knives are very similar. Am I missing something or are they similar enough to have one or the other. it seems to me that people would prefer one or the other and not need both. i think you get...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

i can't wait to try this design out. i've wanted to love the delica for its size and thin blade, but the handle shape doesn't work for me for some reason. the rockjumper looks like the perfect answer to that problem. i hope we'll get to see the leafjumper (or whatever it will be called if it exists)...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?

It just seems harder to use than either a compression or axis lock. It's a tough call, to say whether it's worth it or not. I've bought a few over time. I like them. I put a copper one on my burnt orange Rex 45 Manix for example. They go good together. A few of the plain Ti, on some of the other on...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?

It just seems harder to use than either a compression or axis lock. it takes a little time to get used to. people say there's a break-in period, but i think that's as applicable to your hand muscles as it is the knife. once you get used to it, it's a great lock. i am even able to close mine with ju...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?

Second question - how long do you generally give a knife before deciding it’s not for you. I’ve had the Manix for only a few hours and I’m on the fence. I’m comparing it with my most carried and favorites - my Rex45 pm2 and my benchmade m4 freek. I like the blade, like the look, and like the feel. ...

Re: Manix 2 flytanium cage opinions?

the plastic doesn't bother me on the lw, but i'd definitely want the upgrade on a g10 version. it's a little silly, but i don't like the look and feel of the plastic in contrast to the g10. i don't have one yet, but from the research i've don't, people seem pretty happy with the upgrade to a metal c...

Re: C-60 Ayoob Campaign: No I Won't Shut Up

my manix is plenty sturdy. in fact, it's sturdier than any other lw knife i have, to include the native. it's my favorite knife. i just want screws because i can't access a fairly large portion of the steel to make sure it isn't rusting. even with mine being xhp, i did see some surface rust appear t...

Thank you Sal, whatever you guys decide on will be great and I can’t wait! The Ayoob I found and have been posting pics of here....you have no idea how blown away I was when I uncovered it at a pretty pathetic little gun show, you just never know! I’ve posted with Mas probably three different times...

Re: BHQ Jade M4 Series Poll - What next???

the manix would get my vote because it's such a great workhorse design that would go great with a strong tool steel. however, i don't want any tool steels in a m2lw until the pins are replaced with screws.

Re: sharpening issues

thank you all for the advice. i'm definitely getting a loupe now and cleaning my stones (i've been meaning to do that, but just haven't yet). honestly, i'm not sure i'm getting a burr. at least i don't feel it all the time. i usually start with 20-50 strokes per side on the medium stones and then wo...

sharpening issues

alright... i have a sharpmaker and i am getting both pe and se reasonably sharp with it. but, i am having the following issues: 1. i can't seem to get the belly as sharp as the straighter sections of the blades. i just noticed this while working on a friend's delica. the straighter portion makes hai...
