Re: Thoughts on one month carry challenge

I've posted out the "relationship" factor before and how rotating doesn't really give me that satisfaction. As I've said before, I'll never reminisce about the last time I took a knife out of the box and fondled it, I've got to really use it and create memories with it. The same old same old does g...

Re: Thoughts on one month carry challenge

if all you've ever eaten is pb&j, it's easy to be content with it. once you've had a steak though, you realize how good it is and how many different cuts there are and all the other foods that you've missed out on. pb&j is still delicious and okay occasionally, but there's too much wonderful food to...

i think the different color is a pretty good sign the h1 models aren't going anywhere.

Re: Could someone please post pics of Shaman, Manix and Native next to each other?

Big fat Thank You! The Manix *is* slightly different in shape. It has a mini thumb ramp, and one extra wave or whatever you call it for in between inded and middle finger. And a rounder butt. But the Shaman truly is a Native on steroids. :) And since I love the Native... The Chief isn't ...

Re: S35vn on the Tenacious...what does it mean?

i'll take a resilience in s35vn and blue g10. it's such a great knife and deserves a better steel. i like it much better than the tenacious. i might even like it better than a manix.

Re: Question for Sal regarding the green LC200N salts

Can we expect more models to be run in this configuration if sales are there? I would love to see a PE Aqua Salt run with this setup (Your fault, by the way ;) ), and I think a Salt 2 and Dragonfly Salt would both sell well. Either way THANK YOU for putting this FFG LC200N Pacific Salt on the marke...

Re: Function & Practicality Aspects of EDC

the manix is about the most useful blade shape for me. j ust a slight belly with a slight negative angle and it's almost as effective as a wharncliffe, but with more versatility, which makes it great for edc. ......... in an effort to combine these features, i recently purchased the sheepsfoot spyd...

the manix is about the most useful blade shape for me. just a slight belly with a slight negative angle and it's almost as effective as a wharncliffe, but with more versatility, which makes it great for edc. however, after spending the last four years in hawaii, i've also grown to love/need spydered...

Re: Is it possible we're stretching spyderco a little thin...?

i think the community's input is probably invaluable to them and has driven cqi and new models. otherwise aka probably wouldn't waste time engaging here. although they can't make every variation requested by the forum members, it's a good way to keep a finger on the pulse of the customer to see what...

Re: I will now EDC only SE for 6 months.

i have too many pe knives that i love to not carry them. i typically will carry one of each. but, when i need to go light and just carry one, it's se every time. That´s really the only reason while I still carry also PE: Designs I really like just don´t come in (ffg) SE. IF they would (like the Man...

Re: what's best back pocket knife for doing stupid things?

pacific salt se. of all my knives, it gets pushed the hardest and it's very trustworthy. second choice would probably be a native (at least with a combo edge) since they have fairly robust blades.

Re: Best "work knives"?

i found my manix was having a more difficult time with cardboard than my pac salt. i think it's the hollow grind on the pac salt leaving less surface area in contact with the cardboard. it also heated up less than the manix did, which would seem to confirm the less friction idea. no doubt i will con...
