if this glass were to break, I wouldn’t be all that upset ;) sure it wouldn’t be ideal, but I’d have an LC200N lil native blade.

Are they heat treated?

I think they'd be more in the range of the wooden HAP40 models in price.
The Hap40 Delica with red g10 from St Nick's was $190. I'm just saying I think it will be hard to convince them that a strong market exists to justify more Seki G10.

Re: Linerless G10 S30V Endura

Possible, sure. I think the big question would be whether or not people will pay around $200 for it. G10 and S30V knives coming out of Seki seem to be expensive and move slow. Remember the G10 and S30V Lil Temperance was $211, and that was before the MAP hike. Would there be a market for it?

Those Dragonflies are already sold... but I really hope this doesn't turn into a classifieds section. That was just one person selling 2 of their used knives.

Re: Which Endura is your ideal all-arounder?

I did find it interesting that every pic that I saw posted here has either the Discontinued g10 scales, or aftermarket ones. Hopefully some knife shops are taking note and commission one in the future They rarely do them for the same reason Spyderco discontinued them. The price of Seki g10 knives i...

When I feel the urge to fidget with something, I always reach for a running chainsaw.

Just sayin'
That's funny. I fidget by pulling a revolver in and out of a holster. Currently looking for the smoothest one. :D

Re: ok but how brittle is Micarta REALLY

Paper micarta is somewhat flexible. That's one of the reasons I don't expect it to break on your Native. Here's some 1/8" paper micarta flexing more than the distance between Native scales. https://i.imgur.com/Us2aBK3l.jpg Since those spacers are further apart than it would be on a native, the angl...

No politics on this forum... ;) (still: Even as an European I have to say: It is YOUR (taxpayer) dollars... ;) ) Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this stimulus isn't from taxpayer money, at least not yet, and who knows if we'll ever pay back the debt. The Fed printed money out of thin air h...

Re: Golden made no choil knife - edge all the way to handle

Polestar could really shine ( pun intended) if made in Golden with some cool steel. I've been hoping for a Polestar with a compression lock for awhile. I looked at how close the blade comes to the spine when closed, and it's definitely far enough away that a comp lock would work well in the current...

Re: Golden made no choil knife - edge all the way to handle

Can someone explain what taking the choil away and an extra 1/4 inch of blade would do to dramatically change a PM? Especially at the expense of safety for closing and handling? How would no choil make it more dangerous to close and/or handle a PM2? A PM2 isn't a backlock. Fingers are ne...

Re: SPYDERCO @ WALMART??

However, what they offer online is a different story. There they sell a few models from the USA, a few from Japan, and at least one from Taiwan directly, and an offer an extremely wide selection of models via third party sellers. This is true. They have a variety of Spyderco knives "sold & shipped ...

Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept

The one thing I don´t understand though in your post: Why is his work, though you seem to really like it, still a "near miss"? I mean, being "just" a project (and not a real assignment) for me it´s pretty obvious that in order to do the project he just pretended that Spyderco in fact WOULD want a t...

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

Instead of having all your fingers extended outward, risking hitting the blade against those fingers...why wouldn't you have them around the handle, pressing against the pocket clip as added traction, for a better grip on the knife, as well as not having any fingers just awkwardly sticking out all ...

Re: Para 3 mod for lefties

I am not sure if I am seeing this right, but it looks like that ,,second,, liner is above the scales, so if looks like a nice thin piece of metal that want to make a hotspot every time you squeeze the handle a bit harder. People should be able to contour the metal. It seems to be more of a proof of...

Para 3 mod for lefties

Saw a video today from a guy that modified the Para 3 for left-handed people. It would work just like a liner lock for them.

Re: Spyderco Siren Release Date?

Does anyone else find the Siren quite a bit like a C16 Wayne Goddard? Yea, when I first saw it in the reveal, I thought they were making a Goddard salt. All dimensions are nearly identical, too. Overall Length: Goddard 222mm. Siren 222mm. Closed Length: Goddard 131mm. Siren 130mm. Blade Length: God...

I never saw counterfeit comp lock knife...
There are lots of counterfeits of the PM2 using a compression lock. I haven't seen a Caribbean counterfeit though. It's probably hard (and expensive) to fake those scales. Maybe that's why?

Re: Spyderco Caribbean with black hardware?

The action was a little rough out of the box so I took it down to clean everything, and it’s improved but I still can’t get it drop shut smooth without tons of blade play. From my knowledge, the Caribbean does not have the pivot bushing like the PM2 or Para 3 has. They even did a CQI on the Ikuchi ...

Re: Spyderco Rebrand Concept

The current look of the spider is what makes it memorable. It's a caricature of a spider in the same way that Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck do not look like a real mouse or duck... which is why they're so recognizable everywhere. Changing to a "sleek" and "aggressive" spider that is anatomically corr...
