Am I the only one that sees it?

No, you are not haha.. It was the first thing that came to my mind as well! David's proposed knife has some size/grind/lock differences, but the overall profile looks quite similar to me.

Welcome David!

Re: First Impressions of SPY27 Steel

I've been very pleased with SPY27 so far. I haven't used it for any sort of crazy cutting, or sharpened it yet.. but the factory edge on my Para 3 LW has held up well for the light-use tasks I've used it for so far and has stayed very sharp. Yesterday, I accidentally slammed my edge down on some met...

Re: Best Spyderco for the $$

This is a tough one to answer because it is so subjective.. everyone is going to have a different opinion here. There may be as many different answers as there are responses.. If I were going to make a recommendation to someone selecting their first Spyderco, I'd ask them about their general knife s...

Re: What was your 1st Spyderco?

Compression lock Lil Native for me.. I didn't realize it at the time, but the Lil Native had pretty much just been released when I bought it. I'd been into knives for years and years prior to buying my first Spyderco, but had always been "too poor" to buy "good" ones.. got a nice raise at my job and...

Re: Lynch Northwest Wire Clip Replacement Deep Carry Clip

I bought two of these yesterday, direct from lynchnw.com.. looks like they are still in stock there.. not sure for how much longer, i'm seeing "limited quantity" messages.. I've seen these come and go at DLT before as well.. I actually quite like the standard Para 3 LW wire clips, but I'm going to g...

Re: Blade HQ customer service

I used to buy a majority of my knives from BladeHQ, but not so much the last 8-10 months or so.. I started noticing some issues with my last few orders.. sporadic shipping notifications, unexplained delays, glitches with order statuses in my account history, non-responsiveness to email, etc.. Most r...

Re: Spyderco coffee mug

^ haha, likewise! ;)

Please consider as large a handle as possible too.. it's always nice to be able to get a full fisted grip on a mug.. I think that's much more comfortable that a 2 or 3 finger grip anyways..

But yeah, regardless, I will buy one!

Re: Watu vs. Deka

I bought a Deka in the middle of June and, somewhat to my surprise, it’s become one of my most carried knives this past month.. The Deka is my second Hogue (the first was the Ritter RSK MK1-G2). I had some familiarity with Hogue as a gun company.. but I’m very impressed with Hogue as a knife company...

Re: Your Favorite "Obscure" Spyderco model?

I don't know that they're "obscure" per se, but definitely an older/hard to find model nowadays.. the Lil Temperance 1 & 2.. I find them both to be really awesome-looking. I don't have either model.. and probably never will because I can't justify paying some of the crazy prices you find them at the...

Goldeneye Multi-player: "stop looking at my screen!!!" Hahah, yep!! I pretty much stopped enjoying video games after Goldeneye. They'd be fun for a couple of hours here and there, but never kept me entertained long enough to get any good at them.. therefore, I am terrible at them. All of them. Hah,...

Re: Which Spyderco would you be?

^ hahah, clever PStone! :)

Interesting thread.. I'm thinking I would be a Native 5. A little bit old-school and not especially flashy, but ultimately very well-rounded, reliable, and sufficiently equipped to handle pretty much any task well.

Re: The Ladybug is a full size knife

Agree! When a fob is attached haha! My preference is the Manbug because it is slightly wider and I do feel like it fits my hand a little bit better, but the Ladybug is still perfectly serviceable.. It's amazing how useful small knives can actually be! :)

I'm not sure how long it will take my messages to get approved by a moderator... I've been sitting opening and closing it, and it's really grinding hard, almost like I'm filing something. It takes a lot of strength to move it. I'm hoping it will get easier soon. I have multiple Natives, both G10 an...
