Re: what's best back pocket knife for doing stupid things?

Stupid things sounds like you might break it. In which case, not a spyderco (why waste the money).

If it has to be a spydie, I guess something from the budget line.

Re: How do you carry your knives and why?

"How do you carry your knives?"... With my hands. :D Folder, right front clipped pocket. Fixed blade, right side between belt and pants, so that the handle is flipped around. Gives a very quick "dagger down" edge out draw. My preferred knife position if I ever had to use it for self defense. With th...

Re: Martial Arts Experiences Discussion Thread

It really is all about the practitioner/ person and the quality of training. For instance. I used to think I could take most Taekwondo practitioners because the only exposure I had to it was seeing a watered down version that, alot of times, seemed like an after school activity. Then I sparred a guy...

Re: POLL: Return of the SpyderSaw? Single bladed or as part of a Dyad?

I would like a return of the original or a new version.

But there are some really good points being raised. Would I be able to replace the blade in a few years? Would it be better than a Silky Saw given their price range and options?

Re: the great manix 2 wharny salt campaign

A high visibility siren seems like it would work.

The issue with any ball bearing lock salt is the spring and plunger area.

Re: Cruwear...where do I buy??

Ok I’m confused...if Zwear Shaman is “coming soon” why is it sold out?? Different websites will list things as sold out even if it hasnt hit the market yet. It just depends on how the website is set up. Knifecenter had some smooth g10 cruwear exclusives. You could probably track down one of those. ...

A backlock caribbean with some other minor modifications would be awesome.

Lil native lightweight backlock salt serrated edge with jimping. I really want this.

... https://fotobucket.site/uploads/4c33ec736a0432c0e345c6b89a710738460e9f75.jpg I have noticed the uneven front side/backside edge bevel at the tip happen randomly on different spydercos I have bought. It is not limited to the Shaman. I dont know why it happens, or why it seems to be random.

Re: Golden Quality

Ive been picking up more Golden models than anything else lately. Are you complaining that the lockbar jimping is at a different angle than the blade spine jimping? Every single native 5 I have seen or handled does that. I dont know why, but it doesnt effect anything either. Whats wrong with the gri...

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations

... 1.) As you might know, I personally choke up comfortably on the Ricasso of Endura /Pac Salt (and sometimes even on the very edge) all the time, it is probably my most used grip. Now I see you do so with the Siren too (while I think you rarely choke up on the Pac Salt Ricasso?) - so I assume thi...

Re: Demand and Supply of New Salt Series Knives?

Im a huge fan of the salt series. But I do believe that a lot of people dont need the extreme corrosion resistance the salt series offers. Theres a lot of good stainless that will support most peoples knife needs just fine.

However, I am always for more salt models.

Re: Spyderco Siren Observations

I really do like the siren. I think it has the minimal kick required to do the drop close. That is my prefered method for closing spyderco mid backlocks. At the end of the day, given that is my preferred method, I like for my non-choil mid backlock knives to have a large kick so that I can close tha...

I like the native 5 lightweight more than the g10 version.

Also, as said above, buy from an online dealer.
