Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

Im all for vanax. Im all for titanium, even if that combo puts the price through the roof. But please no pm2. I would rather see the knife be a stand alone model. I dont have IG or anything else. Im like wartstein I fool around here and thats pretty much it. Just to say a few things. 1. 20% of the r...

Re: A sharpness story

Do you work in a kitchen or resturaunt? Im trying to think of any other job where someone would bring an expensive chefs knife to work. An office with a nice kitchen I guess?

Anyways, they will probably be coming to you for sharpening.

Re: 12 reasons why the Delica is better than the Native

... Does the Endura 3 handle work any better for you? I have a line on new Pacific 1's. It does and I already have 2 users and 2 backups. I bought them when they were discoed at a good price. I cant bring myself to buy anymore. I still dont love those handles either, but they do seem to work better...

Re: 12 reasons why the Delica is better than the Native

Just to play devils advocate. 1. Doesnt bother me, slimness has never really been a concern. 2. Thats a 2 way street, the natives thicker blade makes it a mini tank of a folder. 3. The native has a better point 4. Agree 5. I will concede 6. Well since you "have" to use the choil on the native its ok...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

So I really want this and a leaf jumper because I know I will like the handle, but I just realised something.

Does it not have jimping on the thumb ramp? If so that is a bit disappointing.

Edit.
Just read through the thread.

Cricket!

Is the techno 2 small enough?

Edit.
I realise they are not "lightweights" but they are not heavy.

Re: 1000 year old Cr steel found

This is really interesting from several aspects. It just confirms to me that there was a lot of high technology in ancient times. I've said for years that the construction of the Egyptian Pyramids were most likely accomplished with some type of "anti-gravity" technology. One example of that was the...

They both do good ergos, but I like every one of Sals designs. I would just cross my fingers for a backlock.

Re: Any interest in a Spyderco utility knife (box cutter)

I feel like the entire point of utility knives with replaceable blades is to be cheap. Im not sure a more expensive version has a place in the marketplace.

I always liked those super cheap box cutters that were just a slide inside a sleeve.

Re: Let's talk G-Shock watches

I like their square faced all digital watches, so basically the 5000 series. I also really like solar power after having had a solar powered dive watch. (Assuming casios solar wprks as well as citizens did)
If you just want basic functions, you can get a solar powered 5000 series for like $110.

Re: Wharncliffe vs. Hawkbill advantages/disadvantages and thoughts about the Yojimbo/Yojumbo

It completely depends on how you use a knife. Some people are really into hawkbills and karambits for lets just call it mbc stuff. I would lean the opposite direction. Stabbing does damage. I am not a fan of giving up the ability to stab if I thought I might need to do it. With that said, you need t...
