The idea of older music is just better because of some vague idea of authenticity is silly, it’s the no true Scotsman argument.

Looks very impractical.
It may be great but it looks just that bit weird and aggressive- for utility/self defence it looks heavily focused on the latter.
The spiel dosnt read particularly well in my opinion either.

These arnt new concepts but rather old sci-fi tropes, the Orville just presents them in light self contained episodes, like Star Trek once did.
