Re: Bob Lum Chinese Folder Light Weight: Is it time? Would you want it?

Nope, not me. I'm just too attached to that classic anodized aluminum look and feel. I wouldn't mind a lefty version though, or perhaps a compression lock that's also very lefty freindly.

Re: “Little knife for a week” challenge.

I always have a Ladybug on me, and regularly carry a Lil Native Backlock these past few months. It's not as much as challenge but a regular EDC for me.

I'm not sure if it's something I'd like for my Delica, but that looks like a clean swedge - well done!

Re: Kid who is a knife nerd

My 9yr old is coming along nicely as a knifeknut as well. She loves watching forged in fire with me, and goes through my collection with me regularly to pick out the 'nice ones'. She proudly wears her Ed Schempp Knives hoodie to school as well. She's working on learning English as well, I'm sure she...

It looks like those spots could be polished away with some Flitz or a similar compound. At least there's no hesitation now to use the heck out of it, right? ;)

Re: February EDC Challenge

It's a great challenge, I used to do this all the time in my early days of knifecollecting. It's very educational. Nowadays, I get most of my fun by rotating knives a lot.

Re: Ikuchi

I don't have much more to add, but to chime in and say in my best 'Wayne's World' impression: "Yes, one day, the Ikuchi will be mine. Oh yes". It ticks off all the boxes for suburban EDC, it's a cool design with a great backstory, very minimalist to carry and use in public, very functional, and it h...

If it comes from a knife newbie and is presented as a very blank statement, I'd suggest he try to actually use the knife first and then see how he liked that 'hump'. But sometimes you feel like a hump and sometimes you don't ;) , it's a subjective thing but the Spydercrew has been doing an amazing j...

I do like a quality backlock, especially when wearing gloves.
