Re: Your Username...why did you choose it?

I picked my nick name when knife discussion forums first started in the late 90s. Reservoir Dogs is still among my favorite movies; I figured Mr Blonde had the coolest nick name of the bunch aaand he's the only one to use a knife ... 'graphically', although the real action happens off screen. I'd pr...

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2019 Report

And that’s all folks, I shared every pixel I could from these excellent new Spyderco offerings. I have no other imagery or info to share. Thank you all so much for watching and all the kind words. I’m sure I didn’t get to answer every question and I very much appreciate my fellow attendees at the me...

Does anybody know the specs on the Endela, or where I could find them?

Overall Length: 20,5 cm / 8.07 inches
Blade Length: 8,6 cm / 3.38 inches
Blade Thickness: 3 mm / 0.11 inches

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2019 Report

I think it was still stuck on 'private' when I first posted it. It should be public and viewable now. Mr Blonde, thank you very much for showing us the goods, these threads are always a joy to go through. I know you are not allowed to discuss a lot of what you've seen, but can you say if there was ...

Video: Spyderco 2019 Production Sample – Police 4 Lightweight

This year, I managed to also shoot some video of the various production samples. I figured this might give an even better impression of the new Spyderco knives. First up, the excellent Police 4 Lightweight Production Sample!

Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2019 Report

CHIEF!!! My only complaint is that there are no liners... I think it has nested liners. One of Wouter’s pics gives me hope. In any case, we have a heartbeat! I thought so too, but I think it's just light through the crack. You can see his finger. I thought it didn't have any liners at all.

Spyderco 2019 Production Sample – Byrd Harrier

The Byrd Harrier in G10 is another great way to catch the Spyderco Bug on a budget. Knife snobs might scoff at its ‘made in China’ label and its 'lesser blade steel'. However, back in the mid- to late 1990s, this would have probably been considered a premium factory knife. The quality is impressive....

Spyderco 2019 Production Sample – BaliYo

I was happy to see the BaliYo getting an upgrade at this year’s Amsterdam Meet. If you like knives, you’ll probably like balisongs as well, or at least played with one. A BaliYo takes the game of the balisong knife and it puts it in a pen. My co-workers might not always appreciate the clickety-clack...
