Within the US delivery $ fee from eBay seller

Hope this is the right place. What should I expect to pay for delivery Within the US Lower 48 states, US$ wise from an eBay seller for a 2nd hand / used Spyderco of Endura type size. 1 knife. I'm looking at buying a pretty well used Serrated Endura and Pacific Salt for use out bush in Aus It will pr...

Re: Delica 4 Impressons By A Spyderco Newbie

I think you're a bit out of touch with the state of Chinese-made knives. China makers can easily make knives of equal quality for half the price. Want proof? Spyderco's own value line. I did think you were comparing Generic chinese knives to Spyderco so my mistake there. Where you control productio...

Re: Delica 4 Impressons By A Spyderco Newbie

The cost of knives over that same period has gone down quite a bit. As have most consumer goods. It’s not unreasonable to expect the cost of goods to go down over time. Unless you really value the fact that the Delica isn’t made in China it can be hard to stomach the price. However, I recently help...

Re: Manix 2 Orange Scales - Hot or Not?

Thanks for the cutlery shoppe lead.
They look great.
Will have a better look later.

No Orange handled ones seem to make it to Australia which is surprising as I think they'd sell well.

No worries, I'm a bit more exposed to Raw material prices - iron ore being one of them - and know what stratospheric levels it gig to in the last 10 years !!!

Exactly. He joined the forum as soon as this topic went up.

Yet as you say, he couldn't join before to ask.

The wealth of knowledge on here will get you
The answer in 1-2 days at most.

He/she knew it was a fake and is now trying to get out of the 6ft hole he dug.

Re: Delica 4 Impressons By A Spyderco Newbie

"However, after watching some video reviews on the Delica 4 it was stated that the knife cost $50 upon it’s 2010 release. That means after 8 years, this same knife that cost $50, instead of decreasing in price has increased in price by a whopping $20-$25. Not sure what to think about that," I don't ...

Re: Any information on this knife, Endura ?

BTW fresh US nickels with crisp edges fit and work best in the barrel bolt slots. If yours has "sat" long enough to get some blade rust, apply a small amount of light lubricant to the barrel bolt before disassembly, and take care of any other rust you may find there. I'll dig out my US Coins, Im su...

Thank you. Perfect.

Didn't know it existed.

I think I was right in saying my first Spyderco was Gen 1.

Re: Any information on this knife, Endura ?

Interestingly in doing research I came across this.

Said was a Endura 3 just before the 4 was released.

Also said Blade steel was VG-10 ?

Any information on this knife, Endura ?

Morning all (at least where I am!) In hunting around for another early fully serrated Endura and one of the more modern Spydercos as recommended by members in my first post, I came across and purchased this as it was only $25. Any information on it and likely year would be appreciated. I don't think...

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

Re Corrosion, interestingly even though I carried my Spyderco when doing water ops, mostly sea based
it never rusted !

I use high carbon steel Green River knives so have experienced blades that go rusty just looking at them lol

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

Thank you. Those pics are awesome. Re serrated, I originally got it on the recommendation of one of my climbing / roping instructors on the basis that a serrated blade will always cut a rope and when you are dangling over a cliff or building it's the last place you want to find out your flat blade i...

My original knife is fully serrated, as is the new Endura 4 I have been looking at buying.

Serrated is a personal choice.

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

Thanks, hadn't heard that term before but its a good one and I like how it maintains the thickness of the blade.

I have a few Hollow ground knives (in flat blades), nice to look at but wear differently out in the field!
