Re: Fake endura 4?

Thanks guys yeah I got it for $40 Australian dollars ($31 USD) and that’s a very good price here, I don’t think the pawn shop knew what a spyderco knife was and it is in good condition after I cleaned it and sharpened it on my sharpmaker. Thanks Sal and everyone for the welcome! They don't seem to ...

Re: Help me choose a steel for copper/aluminum wire skinning/stripping

I’m talking about wire insulation stripping on larger wire like the picture in this link: https://www.protoolreviews.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/Klein-Cable-Skinning-Knife-FI.jpg#main So was I. Looks very similar to the stuff we use on electric fences (not the fence itself). Strip the black off ...

Re: Help me choose a steel for copper/aluminum wire skinning/stripping

As per other poster, why use a knife
When great tools are available ?

Saying that I've used my Endura Serrated to strip wire when out bush and need to fix wiring.
The serrations are great for it.

Re: Employment

It’s a condition of your employment, when you sign the contract you are agreeing to abide by the conditions within, Its good to be idealistic but picking your battles is important. The only one inconvenienced by you leaving work is you. Which is what I said, if its an issue why work for them in the...

Haven't quit a job but would seriously think about it. Then again I probably would work for an anti knife, anti gun, left leaning mob anyway.

I don't shop / spend money at those places / companies so I doubt I'd work there.

"the triangle was declared to have been designed to maintain serrated edges, including, explicitly, Spyderco's." Saying what it is used for and naming a brand isn't illegal, They are of course capitalising on Spydercos great name. I have a Lanksy, have had for 25+ years, either as long as I've had m...

same back here in austria, but the news are picking up on knife incidents and some people already are talking about a ban of knives 0_0

Re: Britain going further out of their minds with anti-knife laws?

More crazy laws that achieve nothing. Many years ago in Victoria (a state in Australia), they banned the carrying of knives. Of course it was a knee jerk reaction and passed quickly, then amended because tradies, divers (as I was doing a bit at the time) and others required them to be carrying or us...

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

Since the OP wants fully serrated, the Pacific Salt is ideal. Its H-1 steel performs better with serrations than any other steel Spyderco has tested in serrated. Plus, it will never rust! Yes, I will be buying one of those as well. That message came through strongly on the first thread I posted. Th...

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

In terms of blade shape along the tip of the spine to take out the rounded/less pointy shape, not much work with the right tools.

To change the serrations, I would say impossible. But I actually like the 8 large serrations.
I'll have to get one in my hand and see it for myself.

Re: Wanting knife as similar as possible to old Endura

Number of serrations on Endura blades I've been looking at old and new Serrated Enduras. Studied spydiewiki, Spydercos web site re blade lengths. Wiki is missing some info. In looking at knives, I really like the long length and shape of my Endura 1 and I know that the blade on later models is more ...
