Re: Forum knife 2020 - model poll

As much as I love my Shamans, let's face it... there have been a lot of people that jumped on the hype train of the recently released sprints/exclusives the past few months, then realized it was too big or too heavy, not as fidgety as a PM2/Para 3. Also, it's not legal in many places and will certa...

Re: Forum knife 2020 - model poll

Drop point UKPK would be great.

The forum name idea would be super cool also! Might be too much of a headache for Spyderco though.

Re: Best Edge Performance Steel between these choices?

CPM REX 45 for me. Based on my experience, it offers greater edge strength than Cru-Wear and Maxamet, and for me it is a bit easier to sharpen than K390. Tough choice because I own and love all 4 of the steels listed. Maxamet is amazing stuff; I've cut through copper wires with it no problem. Cru-We...

Embrace it and move on. H1 scratches from nearly any use, it's easier to just roll with it and be proud of the wear you give it.
Yep.

How are you finding the steel performance Rick? I love how quick and effortless it is to get Super Blue insanely sharp. Wish we'd see more of it in different models that aren't pinned.

It's the beginning of a new decade. Let's have a Damasteel Chaparral with polished black Micarta!

I like your videos PIOT. Cutting food on a cutting board with a hawkbill? Who'd have thought it possible? ;)
Shows how truly versatile the HB blade shape really is.

They say you can’t get a decent job without education. But look at Albert Einstein – he was a drop-out and still ended up being the first man on the moon!
Yes, but his brother Frank was a monster.

Tasman Salt SE just arrived.

Nothing but SE hawkbill carry so far this year.

Nice! Have you had a chance to use it?

The titanium Meadowlark just came in today for a blade swap:

Tasman Salt SE just arrived. Nothing but SE hawkbill carry so far this year. Nice! Have you had a chance to use it? Yeah I cut some slices of cheese at break time. I've found that a hawkbill blade shape is the best when it comes to pushcutting toward your thumb. Add serrations and a hollow grind (w...

Re: Crazy Good Deals Part 2!!

Bento Box Shop now offers free shipping on orders over $99. So thats like saving $15. Their "free" shipping is now just baked into the price of many of their most popular models. Before the new year, a K390 PM2 was $185, and now it is $200. And whereas previously the $15 shipping charge was good fo...

Re: Spyderco Custom Shop

I think it would really hurt the exclusives and sprints. Would people flock to (and sell out in minutes) the next Blade HQ sprint with M4 and jade when people know they can just buy the same knife in M4 with any other scale color directly from Spyderco? It would tank that market. But the benefit is...
