IMO, the only knives that should be sabre or hollow ground, are made out of H1...
Otherwise, FFG is the way to go.

Re: Spydie Chef vs Native 5 Salt. Which would you choose and why?
Hello! This is my first post! Excited to be here! As a person who isn't looking to collect, but to find that one perfect folding blade with the best mix of edge retention, weight/carry ability, corrosion resistance, and as minimal maintenance as possible, I have come down to two knives which fit th...

The Native 5 Salt and Why It's So Awesome.
Well, I haven't yet purchased the Native 5 Salt(knife fund recovering) but Lance baited me into making a Native 5 Salt appreciation thread.
I'll be buying one in SE soon. My wife put my CS Native 5 in the bottom of her purse and won't give it back!
So let's have it Mr. Surfingringo!

Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?
An insanely overpriced Caly 3.5 that will be immediately sent off to be reprofiled.
It has the dreaded CC numbers... But, it's a good excuse to have the blade thinned down a bit and make a mean, nasty knife.

Re: Okay Sal it's time
Until you've held the Chief....The Chief is a Native 5, stretched by an inch. As of Blade 2018 in ATL, it is FFG and perfect. Only an inch? So, not in the Police/Calypso/Millie range... Over the years, I had imagined the Chief would be biggish. Not carping about an extended Native, mind you. I love...

Re: Please help a British Bobby find his knife!
I think this salt may be your flavour. Not agressive looking, highly capable.Pricey, but you will enjoy it. Which knife is that buddy?? That is the Caribbean, but in a sheepsfoot blade. I have the leaf shaped one and LOVE it. If you get it, you will probably keep it till you die. It's about perfect.

Re: Help me pick a Spydie flipper, please
I didn't even know about the Smock before. It looks good, if a bit on the large side. I find myself not carrying my larger knives, these days. (Desk job) That has me leaning more toward the Mantra 2 and 3. The Mantra 2 had the slimmer pocket profile, but had some issues, which I'm not sure will eve...

Re: Compression Lock Millie?
I'm so sick of the compression lock! The Military is a Military glove operated design. The compression lock is not! How about the morons asking for a compression lock Millies ask for a Paramilitary XL People like you need to leave. We can disagree, but when you start resorting to name calling, just...

Re: Any plans for a standard-sized Compression Lock Native?
The linerless G10 Manix 2 back lock is a wonderful knife. I am sure the linerless G10 Native 5 is just as nice. I certainly think so !! When I see the request for a Compression Lock Native, I think -- dudes! You already have it! The Para 3 !! And what a popular knife it is. While I agree that the N...

LC200N or Rex45.
I want to give Rex45 another shot. Plus, I really like the burnt orange g10.

I like my Mantra 1, I'll be buying a Mantra 2 one of these days.
It's funny that I like this knife, yet I hate flippers and framelocks... it's a nice knife.

Re: Okay Sal it's time
Until you've held the Chief, you can't say anything. This knife is better than the Shaman in my book, but in reality they are complete opposites. The Chief is slender while the Shaman is fat and bulky(relatively). The Chief is a Native 5, stretched by an inch. As of Blade 2018 in ATL, it is FFG and ...

Re: Compression Lock Millie?
I have thought long and hard about this topic and as much as I love the compression lock, I would rather have a backlock on the Millie. I would buy one yesterday if it had a backlock. There are only two knives with liner and frame locks that I put up with; The Mantra 1 and the BHQ Chinese Folder. Th...
