Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

This may have been covered already Does this come with any liners? The word on the street is that the liners are minimal. Whatever is the minimum necessary to allow for a compression lock. The consensus is that the non-locking side is linerless; however, I think that it is possible there will be a ...

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

Does the Para 3 LW have liners and washers? My thoughts (based not on fact) would be that they'd have the minimum possible to secure the pivot pin to the compression pin on both sides (kind of like the small "figure-8" shaped metal piece on either side of the Manix 2 LW and to allow for the compres...

Re: Will the Paramilitary FRN replace the Delica?

The Delica, IMO, is starting to border on over-priced for what you get. I hate saying that as it's always been a favorite. I have one in my pocket right now, and my wife and I own at least 5 Delicas between us (pink and pink/purple Zome for her). When the Delica4 was first released it was just barel...

Re: non-knife people with great knives

I have a friend like this. He joined the army as an infantryman right out of high school and has made the army his career. He also lives on an acreage where he raises livestock, grows his own food, etc. We've both carried a knife every day since high school. He cares about carrying a quality knife t...

Re: Does anybody else really dislike the look of spyderco knives?

Ironically, I was first drawn to Spyderco knives for their looks. I remember when I first saw the Endura in the early 90s, it looked so different than all of the clip point blades that were everywhere. At that time, the Buck 110, SAKs, and other traditional folders ruled the world. Spyderco, being s...

Re: Finding the Para 3: The Perrfect Storm

That being said, I have never handled a PM3, but almost every post that I have seen say that it is NOT just a smaller version of the PM2. I would love to check one out and maybe have it as a backup, but then I'd have to decide between M4, CRU, REX45, MM, etc...... :D This hits the nail right on the...

I really just want the delica and Endura SE models to come in ffg serrations like the delica wharncliffe.
This...this is the biggest mistake in the current Spyderco line-up IMO.

Re: The Delica Always Creeping In

More than once in the Spyderco forum on Bladeforums, I've seen people rave about the Delica and say that it is kicking their small Sebenza (their previous EDC standard) out of their pocket. That is all the testament to the Delica's usefulness a person should need.

Re: Seki Japan Made Wish List?

I’d like to see a Pacific Salt with the Endura 4 handle shape. I don’t have a preference between the handle texture but prefer the E4 outline to the current PS. I like the barrel bolt clip better than the 3 screw clip so it would be cool to get the updated handle but keep the current salt clip. Boo...

Re: FRN Police 4

I just hope it retains the exposed steel liners/backspacer. the way "FRN meets FRN" on the back side of the delica, endura, etc. is one my biggest peeves about the knives coming from the Seki factory. Disagree brother. I'm hoping for nested liners or a liner-less approach (unlikely given the intend...

Re: Return of the G-10 Delica and Endura

Hi Minora, As Doc Dan mentioned, the cost of G-10 models made in Seki is high and they are not selling well. Probably due to the high price. The recent models are expensive and sales do not justify the inventory. So it is unlikely that you will see many G-10 models from Seki. With the "RockJumper" ...

Re: Your Delica 5

Start using the Salt 2 handle so that it's linerless and stop rounding the tip. Give me a linerless splinter-picker like previous generations and I'd be a happy camper.

Re: Endura 4

It's about as straight-forward as it gets. Are you just replacing the male screws or both male and female? If you're only doing the male side, then it's very easy. Replacing both sides is a little trickier when you get to the lockbar and pivot screws, but still not overly difficult.

Re: Against the grain...

I've been in love with Spyderco knives since the mid 90s, but the most recently released model I own is the Para3. It's been awhile since I've been excited for a new Spyderco knife. I don't care for high-end super steels, especially non-stainless ones. I see comments all over YouTube of users bashin...

Re: 'Field adjustable' screws

Just a quick observation. The screwdriver tip on the nail file on the Victorinox 58mm knives fits in a T10 hole well enough to tighten up a loose pivot screw. It works on a T9 too, but it's nearly too big for that. This is awesome info. Thanks brother! I always have one of those knives on me. :) Gl...
