Re: Spyderco kitchen knives?

Good morning all! Now that I got a few Spyderco folders on the way to try I was wondering if you all could recommend some kitchen knives? I cook a lot but I never looked into a good knife before. I think a sharp capable knife could make slicing and dicing fun again. Maybe. Lol Thank you! You want f...

Re: The perceived need for instantaneous one hand operation has driven folding knife design into a dead end

In addition, I would predict that product packaging and shipping boxes get to the point where they're easily openable, protective, and continue to make the use of pocket knifes less and less necessary. Ever tried to get into bubble blister packs lately, those suckers are getting harder to get in......

Re: The perceived need for instantaneous one hand operation has driven folding knife design into a dead end

Hi Standy, Thanx for the memory trip. I used to make them and use them in my sharpener demo. It was the one knife we couldn't sharpen with the Sharpmaker. sal Did your popsicle knife have SpyderEdge? :) Like at school as a kid, give me a few minutes on the concrete stairs I can put a serrated edge ...

Re: The perceived need for instantaneous one hand operation has driven folding knife design into a dead end

Like so many here I have more knives than I can poke a stick at including a few pretty flash ones and often wonder what was I thinking, what’s the difference and who in their right mind would have so many knives? Talking about stick poking..... https://files.catbox.moe/8z3fua.jpeg https://www.instr...

Re: The perceived need for instantaneous one hand operation has driven folding knife design into a dead end

What gets me is all the talk about one hand closing. May be a bit weary with knives but I always close with two hands any folder. (Probably less on backlocks as I will use something to push them closed.) Just a habit I’m set in probably. Do find myself playing in the fixed blade pool more the older ...

Re: Buying good knives twice

Had two Pacific Salts in the boat. Lost one. So bought another two, put one in the boat and one as a spare. Lost another one. Bought another two, put one in the boat and had 2 spare now. Pulled a seat post cap off a few months ago and found one of the lost ones sitting inside.( been there 2-3 years ...

Re: Seconds Sale 2020

How happy are you going to be when you rip open your much anticipated $200 mystery box and find a PITS folder with an action so rough it takes both hands to operate and a titanium CaraCara with a bad grind? Those are both things I've seen at the sales, $175 for the PITS and $35 for the CaraCara, to...

Re: Please Pardon the shameful sales pitch - Rock Jumper

Same Same but different.

I own the Delica wharncliffe so probably will not be getting a rock jumper as the knives are very similar.

Am I missing something or are they similar enough to have one or the other.

Re: Seconds Sale 2020

That’s the thing with a mystery box. Only the people who are game for it go for it. I would be happy to get something I probably wouldn’t buy. Give it a go and you never know it might lead to a purchase down the line. $200 mystery box from Spyderco is a shut up and take my money. Not as if I’m gunna...

Re: Seconds Sale 2020

Read all so far.

2nds Mystery boxes.

My idea would be random knives in a box

$200 per box + shipping. Limit 2 boxes per order.
No returns.

Sold online via Spyderco

Gives us Overseas guys a go......And how cool are mystery boxes.

Oh man, that was hard to watch! But truly amazing. Yeah, parts of it gave me that weird, top-of-the-rollercoaster feeling in my stomach. Text and pictures.

Reviews by one or two decent reviewers

Rabbit hole research is usually my style but usually rare for a video unless it’s someone actually outdoors using the knife. ( you got Less than 5 minutes if your a video reviewer anything longer I don’t even open )

Seeing this kind of work makes my heart beat faster. Very nice. Thanks for showing it. I rolling the idea about glow in the dark scales. Re: What knives in your collection keep wow-ing you?

Funny as I was only moving my Pakkawood Delica the other day and I paused to wow a bit longer than I normally would for a knife. Gayle Bradley 1 and my CR Mnandi wow me every time I carry them. Spyderco Junction is still in Honeymoon period for weekend 4x4ing and day hiking duties. Hardly ever carry...
