Re: New Models Dropped: Sliverax, One-Eyed Jack

I want to love the sliveraxe. I don't care if a knife is flipper or not, but the ergos in the pocket look awesome. I just can't get over the ergos open though. I should hold one first. S30v on this one was the mail in the coffin. I've got several and I'm over it.

I love the look and design of one eyed jack, but it's not a practical carry fit for me so I'll pass

Re: Choils on Spyderco Knives: Ups and Downs?

OP, you should have made this a poll! I for one like a finger choil. Call me an idiot for not buying a knife with a larger handle or whatever. For me it comes down to comfort and choice. To me it just feels right. I appreciate the fact that spyderco makes many knives with choils, and those without. ...

I echo your sentiments. Maybe 52100 would be a good steel for your serrated forward design. Any guesses about the performance of serrated 52100.

Re: Minor Mods = Major Difference

Hi Hovan, I did the same on both of my GB-models.. I only removed a little material of the liner opposite of lockbar. It is barely visible on both. Initially, in 2010 I removed a big heap on my first GB, way to much. I learned and did the subtle way on my GB2. This year I bought another GB (1) on w...

Re: Minor Mods = Major Difference

I bought an Emerson serrated delica on a whim from BF. It was well used and missing a bit of the tip, but I wanted to carry a non hawkbill serrated to see if I liked it. After a two weeks I realized 2 things; 1) I prefer serrations on Hawkbill blades. 2) Im loving this Emerson thing. I already poste...

Re: 2017 - Lightweight/FRN Chaparral

Yeah, XHP with their black coating. I'm not sure the chaparral will ever be made with anything other than XHP. I'll be buying this the day it comes out. It has all the features I'm looking for in a small knife. I'll be on the Caly Jr list too so I can compare them.

Re: 2.5 inch Native at Blade!

YES! Comp lock, wire clip, S30V (or better), low vis (and hopefully not pocket shredding) black G10, and I'm in. The specs are presumably finalized, but I'll throw in one last plea just in case: please consider a 2.49 inch blade length for people stuck with Federal building regulations--the law cle...
