Re: Shaman 2
There is apparently a Shaman in the works that won't have a 50/50 choil. Is this a different version from the "Kissing Cousin" Sal was discussing back in March? https://forum.spyderco.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=86153&p=1406714&hilit=shaman+kissing+cousin#p1406714 "We'll prob...

Re: Sharpmaker Practice
The first knife used for practice on my Sharpmaker ended up having its edge ruined by my inexperience. 4 years later and lots of repetitive motion got the right side stroke in control; that was definitely the most awkward part of learning, gaining the muscle memory. BDubs, Could you explained how y...

Re: Salt 1 in stock anywhere?
I know these are discontinued... But has anyone seen a Salt 1 in stock anywhere? Plain edge. I picked one up while I was in Foley, AL while at the St. Nick knives there 2 weeks ago. I picked up the SE model, but they had PE in both yellow and black handles. I don’t know if they would ship, but I wo...

Re: Pacific Salt praise
I also need to sing the Pac Salt praise! I picked on up last week when in Foley, AL at St. Nick knives, and it was the original Pac Salt that was discontinued last year! What struck me: 1. As Warstein said, how lightweight it is! It really isn’t appreciably heavier than the Salt 2, but so much blade...

Re: Mantra 3 vs Sliverax
Maxamet would probably be terrible in a sword. Why? ... It would break in half pretty quickly. Maxamet supposedly is brittle And not very tough based off what I’ve heard. If you were attacking lots of paper or rope, it would hold an edge for an incredibly long time though! And I would vote for the ...

Re: Picking a SE Salt
I also voted PAC Salt SE. I just picked one up yesterday from St. Nick Knives in Foley, AL while staying at Gulf Shores. I got the original PAC Salt as they had it marked down since it’s discontinued, which is the main reason why I went with it over the Salt 2 Wharncliffe SE. Even though now I see t...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
I’m in Gulf Shores, AL and see where St. Nick Knives has a store only 9 miles away! Well of course I have to stop by and they have last year’s discontinued Pac Salt’s for $100! I couldn’t pass it up! I’ve heard so much about SE H1, have wanted to try a Seki knife and a back lock, that I couldn’t pa...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs
I’m not really looking for this model, as I’m hoping for a Shaman in Micarta and Z Wear, but I just noticed that the price is only an additional $0.95 more than the base model!!! That’s a great deal! I hope everyone who wants one will get it!

Super excited about the Shaman in Micarta and Z Wear! Hoping I can luck out. Can you “pre order” sprint runs? Or first come, first serve? Definitely pumped for a Delica in K390 as well as a SpyOpera! What’s recession and pandemic proof? SPYDERCO KNIVES! Great job Sal, Eric and the rest of Spyderco! ...

Re: Tactical Box-Cutter: A Long-Term Review of the Yojimbo 2 as a Warehouse Knife
This makes me want a Yo2! I've been eyeing it for a long time, just haven't bit the bullet yet. Since Spyderco is always making new sprints with different handles and blade materials, it makes me want something special!

Re: Spyderco Siren Release Date?
Lance, The pictures of it “in the wild” look awesome!!! I’ve been wanting a back lock, so this is extremely tempting! How do you recommend closing the back lock in the Siren since it doesn’t have a foward choil (Chief) or a forward ricasso (Delica)? Looking to avoid getting a cut with one handed cl...

Re: Yojimbo 2 Is A Spectacular Slicer
I have the Yojimbo 2 in 20Cv, and if you can still get one, then get it! They are that nice and then some... I have the 20cv as well and it is a outstanding knife in every way. I am shocked they can still be found because this is probably one of my top 5 knives. I know right? They are that good. Wh...
