Re: Annual Top 10 List: 2019

Couple of new models. End...

Re: Para 3 fades into the sunset.....

Loosing interest in something because it doesn't work for you, or you found something better, is one thing. Loosing interest because of its popularity is something I don't understand. If we are talking purely collectibles, I suppose. I guess I don't 'really' collect anything which I would worry abou...

Re: designs - evolution - lifting

I remember having a pocket clip on a pen when I was a kid. So I did a quick search for clips on pens. One pattent goes back to 1916. Having such a useful way of carrying at item, it was inevitable that the clip would make it onto products like pens, knives, flashlights, wallets, sheaths, etc., while...

Re: Cruwear Native Chief ????

I am holding out for a Chief sprint/exclusive. Cruwear is as good as any. Although, I'd rather it not be the KC smooth black G10. I wouldn't want smooth flat scales for a larger folder as this.

One person, without a backpack, just one. If I ever have two folders on me, one IWB, the other in one of the pockets.

Re: Folders for food prep?

I don't use them in the kitchen. Unless I am ready to cut something, and don't feel like walking to the other side. Out of the pocket it comes. Otherwise, all the time for food prep away from home - anything outdoors, picnic, road trip, office, restaurant when all you have is chopsticks and need to ...

Re: BHQs translucent "natural" G10 exclusives

I like it a lot. At first I was open minded to dyeing them. Now I wouldn't think of it. It is a neutral, subtle color. I prefer it over other colors out there.

I will get another one when it comes in a model I want.

Done! With the new Stretch, that makes it 7 new knives this year.

For 2019, I look forward to more Golden knives. Specifically, Shaman and Siren. Willing to try the new Military. Maybe even the Chief, if it makes it into a sprint or exclusive queue. Or something brand new?

Re: Which steel has impressed you lately?

K390 here as well. I learned to appreciate it on the Police, but I didn't get to use as much. Now that I have it on a PM2, I can't get it out of my pocket.

Bring on the Shaman in K390! With green micarta!!!

Re: Straight Spine Stretch

Got it today. It is a nice enough knife, but it will not replace a PM2 for me. Weight and size are virtually the same. And although the blade stock is thicker on the PM2, they are the same behind the edge. I don't care that much about performance on a knife like this; just an observation. Little bit...

Re: Gentleman EDC / Groomsman Gift

Another vote for Chaparral.

Per D’s point, the Cruwear Native 5 is still available from Knifecenter. Golden made, great steel, and the smooth scales make it formal-ish. The steel may not matter to them, but perhaps they’ll start looking into it and realize what they have ;)

Re: What number of Spydercos are in your active rotation?

I usually keep 6 or 7 out of their boxes, in rotation. As for the ones I go to more than any others. The two I used and carried most since I bought my first :spyder: , most comfortable with overall - PM2 and Native 5. The others in regular rotation, out of their box, - Chaparral - Caly 3 - Delica - ...

Re: Discussion: What do you think is the best size for an EDC folder?

Perhaps I should have phrased my sentiment about this situation differently. Or not comment at all. Look, I wasn't there. Who knows what happened before or off camera. I will say this. Neither of them were prepared for the situation they have put themselves in. They locked themselves in a store with...

Much lighter than previous years. Also scored Spyderco bench stones. Shaman Cruwear should have been on here. https://i.imgur.com/r1tVNn2h.jpg https://i.imgur.com/xB9OU90h.jpg https://i.imgur.com/PxHFwLJh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/6IaiB1Th.jpg https://i.imgur.com/MieGLxxh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HHnH9...
