Re: Lil Native Questions (Grip & Future Variants)

I really like the ergos of the Lil' Native. I would compare the knife size similar to a DF2, but I think the ergos are so much better. The Lil' Native fills/fits the hand better, but is still a small knife that can be used a little harder. I also like that the Lil' Native is wider and more stout in ...

Re: One-Eyed Jack plus two

Makes me smile, and given some history, I’m ready for a lot of smiles. This may not appear to be a reason to buy and carry a knife, but when things get a bit dark, having it in hand will be a comfort. At least for me, it's absolutely a reason to buy and carry a knife. I got along fine for years wit...

Re: 2018 Forum Knife?

I would say a Wharncliffe Delica would be perfect for this as many have stated, seeing how it came to be through this forum with Jazz and Spyderco.

A jester would be my second pick.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

^^ I see you're a fan of some of the smaller offerings. What order do you rank them, between the Dragonfly, Lil Native and Chaparral? I have the Chap and love that small knife! I have been eyeing the Lil Native as well, but haven't heard a whole lot of info on it. I do love the Dragon fly, especial...

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??

My Lil' Native today...I have been messing with it a little bit (simple mods). I added a sharpening choil, and just last night took it apart and sanded the G-10 to almost smooth. It has just a slight bit of texture to it still, so I may take it down again and get it fully smooth. But man, I like it!...

Re: Techno vs Techno 2

Interesting point of view, I would definitely like to get my hands on one to check it out before I buy one. I think the standoffs are a better look than the closed off back spacer... and I kind of dig the subtle splash of color done this way. I'm sure you would also be able to get different colors i...

Re: Etching wire clip - how to darken finish?

That looks good to me. That would be a good mod for my FRN Chaparral, I like the grey.

Re: Gentlemen's choice - urban k390 or chaparral light weight?

I like the Chaparral for many reasons, but the thinness of this one is the best.
The FRN Chaparral doesn't lose any cred in my opinion. It's sensible and gentlemanly!

As dog tags are meant to have personal information on them, I think the dog tag idea is brilliant.

Re: New Chaparral (FRN)

This knife is now perfect and it has no defect. The only small problem is that it is a bit hard to close the knife .... That will work out and be easier with some use. Mine was the same and of course the narrowness of the lock back takes a little time to get used to. But this knife is a great littl...

Re: New Chaparral (FRN)

The FRN Chaparral is the slickest little slicer I have! I have good kitchen knives and I don't tend to use my pocket knife there (you know, right tool for the right job), but lately I have been using it just to paly with it more and slice as much stuff as possible (you can only eat so many apples in...

Oh, I so agree Mushroom! This would need to have a compression lock and a few tweaks to make it better than just an up scaled DF2, but the main shape and idea remains the same.

Spyderco Dragon, anyone?

I just know that if this would happen, I would be all in.

I'd call it the Dragon...I know, I know, very original! But with all the Lil's and the XLs and Shaman I'm not asking much, right?
