Re: Function & Practicality Aspects of EDC

The Para2 would probably be about as small as I could get by with. But on the other hand all of us have a different work day in most cases. Ah, hahaha! Joe, you're a funny man. :) I could get by without carrying any knife at all at work but that wouldn't be too much fun. The little Ladybug though n...

Re: Family friendly jokes

Tarzan was been out hunting the evening meal. Jane was getting hungry and hoping he’d bring home something good to eat.

He finally came home and dumped a finch and two small Chimpanzees on the kitchen table.

Jane sighed, rolled her eyes, shot him a filthy look and said “Not finch and chimps again!”

Re: How to cancel account?

Hey Red, if I were you I’d send whoever’s upset me a PM saying: Chook Plucker, lucky I don’t know where to find you ‘cause if I did, I’d come over there and punch sixteen shades of blue out of you. He’d complain to Kristi and she’d close your account for you. Either ways, he’d be upset and offended ...

I reckon you'd have more chance at herding a mob of cats or winning last months lottery than getting six members here to agree on a particular model let alone six to twelve hundred.

Re: Function & Practicality Aspects of EDC

I think practicality is paramount in an EDC knife. Cool and bling are … cool I s’pose. My little Ladybug SE HB is the most practical knife I’ve owned to date, hands down. That said it does need to be sharp. During the course of a typical day at work I’ll use it to open (push cut) a lens wipe satchel...

Re: Jeweler's Loupes & Magnifying devices?

Hey Joe, I use a Belomo Triplet 10x loupe. Made in Belarus. It has a steel frame and they claim to use Zeiss lenses. For light I use one of your Photon Micro Lights. They come in different colour light beams and mines white. I remove the key ring so it’s not in the way and it sits dead flat on the B...

Re: What do you want in a new Salt knife?

I don’t swim or exercise with knives, wear them in my waist band and I don’t sweat at work so corrosion resistance isn’t a prerequisite in a pocket knife. The three Salt Series folders I currently own serve all my needs exceptionally well and I’d replace any I lost. Had I not developed a phobia of s...

Re: New here & just bought 3 knives

Welcome to the Forum, Blackpearl! :)

I don't think you could go wrong with any Spyderco knife but I'd strongly recommend you try a little serrated edge, hawkbill, Ladybug Salt. It's an exceptional little knife and as handy as knives get. ;)

Re: The perceived need for instantaneous one hand operation has driven folding knife design into a dead end

I wonder what more can actually be done to innovate and revolutionise knife design? How strong do locks in folders actually need to be? How much easier to open can a folder be made? Are custom heat coloured titanium clips better than a simple wire clip? Are petrified mammoth tusk scales that much be...

Michael, love your work! With any luck, brothers Wartstein, Surfingringo, Vivi ... will chime in. They can open and close folders 100 different ways with just one finger and blindfolded in under a second! Hopefully they'll post some instructional clips too! :p Ah, hahaha, ah, hahaha, ah, hahaha!
