Re: Para 3 S110V Rust

Hey Oak, Sorry to see your knife looking that way. Personally, I reckon no good can ever come of "washing" a folder other than the Salt Series and your experience only bolsters my belief. Water will always find its way into the pivot and all the compressed air on Earth won't dry it. Same as water be...

Re: Para 3 Impressions

Hey Vivi, I'll certainly be interested to see how it sharpens up for you but the Para3 holds no interest for me whatsoever.

Looking at it in your hand, it looks like a knife that's had half an inch snapped off the tip and reground to re point it.

Many Thanks, Guy! :)

Just looking you’d have to think those scales are the same colour and the knife’s worth buying for that reason alone. Ah, hahaha! ;)

Re: Holy Cow! Delica 204P rocks!

That’s really cool, Doc! I have a 204P Military I should use more often.

Do you have any ZDP-189, British Racing Green, FRN scales (my favourite scale colour) to compare with?

Re: FRN/Lightweights: I just can’t get into them

I wouldn’t buy an FRN Military and I wouldn’t buy a G10 Delica, either.

I think FRN makes for excellent scales. I find it surprisingly strong, durable and forgiving but I wouldn’t commission a flash custom knife with FRN scales. :)

Re: Vanax PM2 Lets Do This!!!

I am curious how much "better" ( and howso) it is than LC200N? Hey Josh, that about sums it up for me and if I wasn’t as slack as I am I’d sharpen Luong’s knife and my Waterway about the same and go to town on them. Gringo has an LC200N and a Chad Kelly custom Waterway in Vanax and with any luck he...

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

Hey Vivi I’m a bit of a woose when it comes to power sharpening. Years ago a mate gave me his Ken Onions sharper to try out and six months later I gave it back unused. Ah, hahaha!

Re: Community Sharpening Journal

This coarse edge is unreal. I knew you’d like it. I challenge myself to get the cleanest, sharpest edge from the coarsest stone. I don’t necessarily end up with a scary sharp edge but generally an edge that cuts better than average as you seem to be experiencing. I’m glad Vivi shared his $2 stone a...
