Re: Yo2 sticky lock

I just got a Yo in the mail today and the specimen is superb but the lock stick is horrible. I love to flip open my knives all day as a sort of therapy, but not this knife. Sad thing is this is my 3rd attempt at getting one of these that is just right. My first was way way off center and nothing I d...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Kind of surprised at how quickly he said it got corrosion. I knew these weren't stainless but wow. Starting to think this might not be for me since corrosion is not something I would prefer happening to this knife. I know some love a patina but not my cup of tea. I was under the impression that if y...

Re: Have you ever returned a knife fro grind lines?

I would not worry about that. Doing some light reading while obsessing about your blade? Interesting women underwear spring fasion trends... ;) :D Funny you mention that. I was holding it under the lamp at my wife's desk and she sells ladies under garments on the side as a home business. She saw me...

Have you ever returned a knife for bad grind lines?

I have new Yojimbo that the grind lines are so aggressive they look more like scratches than grind lines. See next post for link for pic.

I can actually count them they are so deep and gougy, if there be such a word. Debating returning but wonder if that is not uncommon on Spydercos.

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Amazon now has these for $249 plus $6 shipping from Stealth Rabbit if anyone interested. Said they had like 4 of them 1 minute ago.

Amazon's return policy is impeccable. No questions asked if knife not perfect, but I bet with this model there are no 'seconds' and you will be pleased.

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Extremely disappointed in Oso Grande. Have called and left message twice and emailed 3x and not a peep from them on my order. That is piss poor service. If I can get this knife from them I will take it but won't be back.

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

$30 would not be to bad, but my problem was that it being over $200 was already stressing my budget. So, anything more is collapsing it. SSK's price was just the last straw in a strained monetary policy. : ) If I can get it $225 to my door I will buy it, otherwise I will move on. i will just grab an...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

This has become a nightmare. So, I go to Oso Grande and they have a 52100 sitting there on the website. Doesn't say back order, or not on stock, or preorder, etc. I add to cart and it lets me. I then proceed to finish my order, and do, and then I get confirmation email that my order is processed and...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Kenny over at SSK also has some in stock, $230sumthin, Yea they still have them as of this note but ends up being $270 for me with shipping. Out of my range. I will keep looking. Problem for me is many of these sites post what they get early and I can't look during day because of company policy. So...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

I am in same boat. Had both 52100 and s110 preordered and canceled the s110 because of funds. Now I won't even be getting this. If I had known I would never get this I would have kept the s110. I am moving on now that I know I won't be getting it. Gonna take that $200 and look for another knife I ha...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

The really sad thing is earlier today knowing I will never get my preorder from KC I went to OSO Grande and they had them in stock. But, I hesitated and 30 minutes later they were no longer available. ****!!! I only hesitated because I didn't believe what I saw and I wanted to call them to be sure. ...

Re: Spyderholics anonymous?

I am actually slowing down and getting it under control. I guess several of my recent purchases having QC issues has sobered me up. Actually looking to broaden out and pick up other brand classics like Benchmade 940, a ZT, and even a Sebenza. But as for being a knifeaholic in general, hell yes. And ...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

Bad news....just got off phone and they confirmed that no guarantee if you order you will get one since they have no clue how many they will be getting in the end. She said they got a few and filled those and do it based on date ordered. They are now just waiting for more to 'trickle' in. I asked wh...

Re: 52100 Military, what are your plans?

I called knife center about an hour ago and the lady told me had not gotten them yet and my preorder was still valid and it would be shipped when it arrives. I think the date you ordered should not matter. If the preorder was still open then you should get it. Period. Anything else and I am done wit...

Re: Manix mania poll

Zero, zip, nada, zilch. Of the 100 or so Spydies that I own, none of them are from the Manix family. I find the knife to be too wide both in my hand and in my pocket. The FRN/FRCP versions just feel awkward in my hand. The G10 Manix feels a little better but not enough to make me buy one. I also do...

Re: Spyderco 2016 Lists: Delivered & Upcoming

Magnitude and Sage 5 are all that tempt me, depending on price. I am sure they are all fine knives though.
