Re: Why can't we have an upgraded UKPK?

I did not buy one of the older versions as the action on the two I looked, different times and places, was terrible.... I have one of the older G10/S30V UKPKs and I can't understand why you would think the action was "terrible". Yes, maybe it doesn't snap into the notches quite as crisply as the ne...

Re: Anyone get their heartbeat decal yet

I bought a new car today that's actually worthy of wearing one of the heartbeat decals I have. Problem is the dealer tinted the windows (necessary here) and I'm a little leery of sticking the decal on. I guess I worry that I'll damage the tint if I ever have to peel the decal off. Are my concerns j...

Yep! I have both. I primarily use the Wiha set but keep the Husky one in my desk drawer to occasionally snug clip screws etc

Re: Manix 2 rex45 g10 model

Thanks for the comparison photo Pat. Not too far off, but it's definitely a bit more dull isn't it? Im thinking of doing some swapping once I get mine...see how it looks with some DLC, black hardware and liners with that orange! Just worried the KW exclusive grey with satin won't look as good with ...

Re: Manix 2 rex45 g10 model

Was kind of sad to see that the g10 color is slightly different than the previous runs. Yeah, I remember there were some comments made early on that the pics online looked like it was a little different color. Now that I have one I probably wouldn't have thought anything about it until you mentione...

Re: CPM SPY27 Experiments - Toughness, corrosion resistance, etc

I haven't had time to read the article yet but, from the responses, it sounds like SPY27 is going to be very similar to S30V/S35VN. I like them both a lot. So much so that I have several knives with both. They're a great middle of the road steel for me and I really like how they bite into hardwood w...

Haha...and here I thought it was going to be another one of those I chipped my blade threads.

Glad your blade came through it unscathed!

Not a problem at all. I’ve never ordered from them, hopefully I won’t be disappointed.

Re: Who owns a Hanan?

I have owned and used a Hanan since October. My only real gripe is the “thick-ish” grind. The flipping action on mine was not good out of the box. Pretty much like everybody else has experienced. I used a pin vise and a pointy diamond burr to barely widen the detent hole in the blade by hand. Night...

Re: Who owns a Hanan?

Hole is wider, detend ball drops a bit deeper when blade is in parking position, you need a little more force to get the blade moving, thus flipping is with a bit more power - is it like this? I hope I explained my thinking well enough... Yes, the action is smooth but the reason it doesn't flip wel...

Re: Who owns a Hanan?

I bought a Hanan on close out special. It's nice for what I paid for it. The detent's a little weak but I'll fix that when I get around too it. No real complaints otherwise. I have no problem accessing the lock to unlock it. Don't recall it being too sharp or stiff either.
