Re: Manix2 LW compared to G10?

I have Manix 2s in both G10 & LW models. I think the G10 knives are nicer overall but I actually carry the LWs more. The M2 LW is the knife I grab when I'm going on a bike ride or walk with sweat pants or athletic shorts on. I usually carry it IWB and the weight along with the wire clip seem to work...

Re: Cutlery Shoppe rex45 two-tone para3

I have a Rex Para 3 I probably wouldn't buy another one regardless but having two different color scales would be a big no for me

I got fed up with s30v chipping out on the slightest thing. For me anyways it seemed to chip on even cardboard. I just couldn’t believe it.
You must have the worst luck ever with S30V. I've had a bunch of S30V knives and haven't had one chip yet.

Re: Lil Manix

Also might be hard to actually work the lock on something this small You can test that out with one of the little benchmades that use the axis lock.... Not really. The Omega springs in the Axis lock make it much easier to pull back on the lock tabs. I have 4 small Benchmade knives and have no issue...

Re: Lil Manix

I know a "mini-manix" has been requested numerous times but maybe not this small. I think a small CBBL would be neat but might be hard to implement. Also might be hard to actually work the lock on something this small

Re: Difference between Manix 2 G-10 and Lightweight

I have both G10 & LW Manix 2s. I like both but I carry the LWs way more. I'd prefer them to screw construction but the fact that they're pinned doesn't bother me at all.

Re: Kapara in s90v?

I think it's pretty much perfect with S30V. IMO S90V wouldn't make it any more perfect

Re: TeroTuf!

Interesting. From a few closeups I can see threads coming off the material. For those of you with long term daily usage does this continue to break down? The material looks like it would absorb rit dye like a sponge and probably any other liquid as well. As for me I think I will pass G10 and FRN ar...

Re: Native 5 in M390/20CV

I would be interested but I didn't vote. I already have several Natives and several knives with M390 & 20CV. So I really don't need any more of either. I guess I would have to wait and see what the exact configuration is and then decide.

Re: TeroTuf!

Does the mineral oil make the handle feel kind of greasy, leaving your hands a bit messy or do the scales suck it right up? No, the oil doesn't make them feel greasy/oily at all. I wipe on with a cloth, let it sit for a bit, then wipe with a clean cloth. The desert tan scales in my post above were ...

Re: TeroTuf!

I'm very happy with the set of Desert Tan TeroTuf scales I got from Fireside for my Para 3 Rex45. That pic was taken in fairly bright morning sun light. https://i.imgur.com/k2fyrX0h.jpg Yesterday I received a set for one of my Native 5s. I haven't had time to install them yet but I did hit them with...

Re: Anyone get their heartbeat decal yet

I bought a new car today that's actually worthy of wearing one of the heartbeat decals I have. Problem is the dealer tinted the windows (necessary here) and I'm a little leery of sticking the decal on. I guess I worry that I'll damage the tint if I ever have to peel the decal off. Are my concerns j...

Re: Sage 5 Lightweight

Some things that work for one person don’t work for others. Sharing our experience and knowledge is why we’re all here. I don’t think it’s worth getting excited about it. Yeah, so much of this is personal preference and some things just don't work for some people. We see a lot of threads here where...

Re: What's your favorite thin & slicey Spydie?

All my Spydies are pretty slicey in general compared to other brands I have. In thin & slicey department, excluding kitchen knives, the Chaparrals are definitely my favorite followed by the UKPK S110V LW & Baby Horn. The Delicas aren't quite as thin but certainly deserve a mention
