The first part of a listing of the byrd catalog by price is a rough approximation of a list by size, except for the Crow 2 and Raven 2 (which are more expensive).

Re: Rhino
I have to admit that I'm not exactly thrilled with the blade shape but, for $50 for a small folder with compression lock, you can bet I'll get one of these. I would think it could be more appealing to those new to Spyderco. The leaf shape etc. can take some time to appreciate. And a lot of people b...

Re: Spyderco EDC You Just Can't Go Wrong With
Sorry, dude, but there really is no such thing. The "Top Five Knives that Fit Almost Everyone's Needs" list would be a lot closer to the mark. Or "Four Questions to Ask Someone Who Asks You for a Knife Recommendation." The Native is a great knife, but isn't everyone's idea of an ...

Re: An idea for those with blade length laws
There aren't that many places with 2.5" restrictions, except for federal facilities. There doesn't seem to be that much interest around here in knives that size. And usually people are looking for light and slim, not large. Once you get to 3" there are plenty of good options. A well design...

Re: New Dragonfly and Delicas
You did make great choices. You could go a long time and do a lot of things with just those two knives. If you like the DF2 ergonomics, have a look at the Native 5 and the Manix 2 the next time you're at the shop. And/Or if you want to get a wider range of knives for the money - check out the byrd C...

Re: Aluminium Handles?
IMO the biggest issue is that aluminum is soft.
But I wouldn't rule it out completely, it's a decent option where you want light weight and the design has a handle with some dimension and texture. And you're not expecting it to last a lifetime, or even a decade.

If you're interested, a couple very positive reviews of the Roadie. Not a knife that really caught my attention until I learned more about it:

Re: Finch 2 On the Way
@sparky2016, Finch 2 is a " Ladybug " size/style/shape Robin 2 is a " Dragonfly " size/style/shape ;) In a very general way. But the Robin 2 is notably wider and bigger than the Dragonfly, and the Finch 2 is a bit narrower than the Ladybug. So I was surprised at how small the Fi...

It depends what you EDC, and where. You do probably need a different knife in Boston than in northern Maine.Ankerson wrote:Not sure why ones normal EDC wouldn't do the job in reality for short hikes and or camping trips.

Re: Hiking/camping/EDC knife?
I assume people who bring batoning into the conversation when discussing folders don't have any practical experience. No need to be rude. The guy who did it knew it was a stunt, but it was still fun to watch. Anyway, it was shorthand for - the PM2 is plenty tough. You'd think that would go without ...

Re: Hiking/camping/EDC knife?
If you can stand the extra weight, I'd go for a Manix. The M2 just feels beefier than the other knives mentioned here, don't get me wrong, the PM2 and Stretch (haven't used an Endura and Delica might be too small for an all-around camp knife) would probably hold up just fine, but my money would be ...

Nice. Thanks very much for the photos, Spydergirl88. Very interesting design and specs. Appears narrower than the Robin 2, it would be interesting to see them side by side. Note, no clip on the Finch 2. Finch 2 - https://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=848 Overall Length 4.37" (111...
