I'm also getting behind France now that I've overcome my disappointment. Zidane has to be one of the greatest players of the modern era. Wonderful to see him score against Spain.

What a lousy way to go out

And Lucas Neill had such a great series up till then. I really feel for him and the rest of the lads. At least we stuck it to the Italians. I wonder if the US coach still thinks we didn't deserve to be there :p .

Thanks ZH. Sounds like it's the larger model. I was hoping it might be smaller as that would give me a good excuse to buy it :) . Still I do like whales :D .

Way to go

zenheretic I'm really pleased someone here grabbed one of these as they are really beautiful knives. I was a little disapointed in the lack of reaction to my original post but I'm glad to see I reached at least one member :) . A couple of questions. What size is the knife? I couldn't tell from the p...

Great job Spyderco

That's an outstanding example of cooperation and commitment from a company with a heart and a social conscience. Unfortunately it may all be in vain if the Japanese and Norwegians manage to persuade the IWC to allow them to recommence commercial whaling. Japan is already killing hundreds of whales u...

Heads Up - Moki Evrinas

I was Googling for scrimshanders yesterday and found these gorgeous Moki Evrinas scrimmed by C. Bertrand. :spyder: was the sole distributor for these and they were the prototypes for a later FRN version. There were 2 sizes, from memory about 4 1/4" and 3 1/2" closed. Sal had 50 of each scrimmed by L...

Who's in the know?

BTTT Somebody must know something :) .

Here's the thread.
Shows what a reverse hawkbill would look like. My new PDF will look naked without one :D .

Rescue Swick

Some time back there was a post about the possibility of a Rescue Swick. I can't remember whether I read it here or at BF but it was to be in H-1 and had a reverse hawkbill blade. I'm just about to buy a new paddling PDF that has a an accessory tab and a Swick would look great there :) . Has anybody...

Blades, No I've only seen pictures of the peel ply, not had the opportunity to handle it so I guess I shouldn't be too hasty to reject it :) . OTOH I am a bit of a traditionalist (getting worse the older I get) which makes it hard to give up the idea of bolsters and scales, even if they are "bubinga...

The law in NSW states that you cannot carry any knife in a public place or a school without a valid excuse. However, I have carried a knife every day since the law was introduced, often with the clip showing, without any problems. I do carry something smaller like a Kopa or Kiwi if I'm in the city a...

I'm with Carlos

I vote for jigged bone on the ZDP Caly III.

I'm with Carlos on this one, jigged bone like the Kiwi. Second choice would be some type of wood. This is the ultimate urban carry knife.
