Re: Removing this bastard lanyard tube?

I'm confused...if your just swapping scales, why did you totally dissemble the knife?? I just swapped scales on my Manix earlier tonight, first scale swap ever and it took about 15 minutes. I did one side at a time, removing all the screws and then prying the scale off the lanyard, install new scal...

Re: AUS-6 Stainless vs AUS-8 and others?

My only experience with AUS6 is Global kitchen knives, where it really doesn't hold an edge long, but re-sharpens extremely easily.

I retired my Globals to cheese and citrus duty in favor of laminate VG-10 Tojiros.

Re: M390 or Cruwear Delica?

I already have the M390 Delica, so I'll be getting both if I'm lucky enough to actually score one in CruWear amid the inevitable feeding frenzy  If I had to pick just one, I might go with the M390, since I don't tend to beat on my Delicas as hard as some of the stouter Spydies in my collection.

So do other dealers! Woo hoo, it’s a sprint run! Maybe we will see the whole lineup? Bring on the Stretch!

Sprint, or distributor exclusive?

Either way I'm on board for one!!

...and an Endela or Endura in CruWear?!?

So.... has anyone heard anything about an Endura version of this?

I don't really carry an Endura much anymore but I could see a nice blue, M390 version bumping my 204P Military out of my pocket quite a bit.

I'd buy my first Endela from BBS if they offered a blue/M390 exclusive!

Re: Manix titanium ball bearing cage

So I've had mine installed in the KC CF/CruWear exclusive for a few weeks now and it's not really an improvement on the black polymer original in any way that makes a difference to me... it's a bit easier to grip, but I've never had issues manipulating the Manix lock, it's definitely swankier, but t...

Re: Taichung Mid Backlocks

...I'm curious as to when CS's (or is it Demko's?) patent on the Tri-ad lock expires, and which companies will begin using it. Could spyderco make their own version of the Tri-ad lock when this happens? I'd bet money it would be better than Cold Steel's. I may not be remembering correctly and have ...

Re: You Get What You Pay For: Yeah You Really Do

If you twist a wrench for pay, tools are your livelihood, in that case "pro" tools that are unconditionally warranted and have service that comes to you weekly to sell or warrant broken items are worth every penny you pay for them. For most of us though, well sized, decently finished tools of a slig...

Someone on here said my knife was cursed, and to sell it immediately! They may be right. Check this out. This happen last Wednesday, and I accidentally stabbed my self. It bled like no bodies business, and since I can actually kinda use my hand now. I figured I’d share a current photo that I just t...

Re: Asking for advice: How to restore a (just slightly) blunted tip?

Grind the spine down. If you do not have an extra coarse bench stone you can use sandpaper. Tape a piece of 100 grit to your kitchen counter and grind the spine away. You can then move to 220 and then 400 grit to give it a smoother finish if you want. I have done this many, many times. This is smal...

Re: Which Delica gets the CF treatment?

I like it, the "damascus" is a bit busy and random, but still cool for what amounted to a $20 upgrade from the standard VG-10 blade, I think the dark etched area on the blade works well with the matte CF. It'll be complete when my polished clips arrive early next week (got one for the BB M390 as wel...

All this discussion of the "D hole" issue with flat FRN handle scales makes me wish for a G10 handled Urban... it started with G10 scales, but when it re-emerged from hibernation in Italy they were gone :( The recent HH exclusive UKPK gives me hope that we'll see them again some day, though I'm begi...

Re: Which Delica gets the CF treatment?

I *knew* there was another Delica creeping around in my collection... I also have the foliage green damascus version. now I'm leaning toward that one getting the CF scales... On a related topic, has anyone tried a set of the brown micarta scales from the Russian ebay seller on their Delica and if so...

Having bought one of the metal cages I can say that I see no benefit functionally to them. It is probably more durable but i never broke the plastic one either. I bought it for aesethetics. For the original black cages, I agree with you. However, I have had two broken white cages, one in a knife fr...
