What if I sharpen it the other way around: several swipes o...

I don't think the Spydiechef is overpriced. Build construction is great and it builds character quick.
I want a 4.5" Spydiechef.
This and less belly to facilitate better chopping not rocking (as santokus are meant to be used)

Ironically Payson means "Peasant" in places like France
Aptly named since most of us will become a peasant after buying this knife.

Re: Very Disappointed

Not being condescending or anything but I hope they didn't use philips driver on those. I've seen a lot of my friends commit the same mistake not realizing there are screwheads other than flathead/standard and philips. Been using el-cheapo chinese torx drivers on mine and I never had any problems (e...

I think the rusting were caused by the bloke's tears that fell on the blade which he forgot to wipe off when he hastily packed it back up in its box to be resold immediately

My advice is to buy both. Why stress over decisions that are easy to solve?

you are going to buy both knives in the future anyway so why not just do it now and sleep better :D

Because it is a fantastic steel that requires zero maintenance and throughout my usage(contractor) has outperformed S110V in everyway except edge retention. My poor S110V Native 5 and PM2 have seen zero pocket time since my Caribbean arrived last year....
