Re: Am I The Only Fan Here For The C-60 Ayoob Model?

I personally would check one out. I think a G10 handle would be a nice addition.

I am going to buy one to see if it makes a good steak knife. If it does then I will order 7 more for a complete set of 8.

Re: rolling vs. chipping

No one else has experienced chipping or rolling? Maybe it is true that everyone on this forum only uses their knives to cut receipt paper and whittle hairs! :D C'mon guys, share your battle scarred Spydercos. Pictures of chipping and rolling would be awesome! I was once getting a Spyderco out of it...

Re: Taking apart knives

All I said was nothing is free. How do other companies sell knives cheaper and still send out small parts? I don't know. People on this forum who do not represent Spyderco should not influence you one way or another. Spyderco has loyal fans. That seems like a good thing to me. The owner of the compa...

Re: Taking apart knives

So if I called one of these companies and said I need two new handles and all the hardware they would send it for free? What if I needed a new blade? How liberal are they? You just call them and they send whatever? No questions asked? No one I know sends blades or handles. You send the knife to the...

Re: Taking apart knives

Why not just support your products and sell internal parts? The current process causes out of pocket expense to the end user and this attitude of “users can’t possibly be trusted to use a T8 driver” comes across as sanctimonious, those who use these tools cone from many backgrounds and to assume th...

Re: changes in blade thought across the years

My first knife was a Buck 110 I got in Boy Scouts. Probably in the late 70's. I still have it and it is well used. I really got back into knives in the 90's. I bought a Benchmade CQC-7. From this day on I was addicted to knives. I then became a big Spyderco collector in the early 2000's. I sold most...

Re: No Love for the Shaman?

I love my Shaman. I have one with a serrated edge. It reminds me of my old Lil Temp with a Serrated edge, only updated and stronger. It is a big strong brute of a folder that just cuts stuff.

Re: Bradley Bowie

I have used mine a lot and it does a great job as an all arounder even though I consider it more of a fighter or a tactical fixed. I do think it is one of the best looking fixed blades Spyderco has ever done. Certainly is stunning in person.

I would suggest in your case with such keen eyes,I would go to local dealer and get raked. You can then pick the knife you find best.

Re: How robust is the Mantra(2)?

I have a Pacific Salt I carry when I think my day will be full of hard use scenarios. Like when I am gardening or doing construction. I would personally save my Mantra for more typical cutting chores like preparing lunch, opening the mail and packages. The more day to day stuff.
