...Maybe there's a touch of selfishness involved as well. While I don't think I go out of my way to waste energy, I'd be very unwilling to told I had to sacrifice even a little bit my comfort in a feeble and futile attempt to postpone the day of reckoning. Drastic problems call for drastic solution...

I love this knife. It is indeed, perfect. Much easier to EDC than the Street Bowie, and the micarta with full tang is a great upgrade.

... What are possible solutions? ... sal Yes, sir, that is the great question for our nation, right now. I appreciate the question about "possible solutions" since that opens up the discussion to free inquiry. First, the US economy, in its current state, is not generating enough jobs to employ all ...

The state of work and jobs in America is very much on my mind these days. It seems that our work and jobs are in deep trouble. Unemployment and underemployment are far too high. Job security, incomes, and benefits for working Americans are under assault. I have to agree that the core issue is greed....

Happy Labor Day 2011

Happy holiday to all my fellow working Americans, and to all those who are seeking work in these tough times. Here's a thought from one of our presidents who knew about work from first hand experience. "Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital. Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could nev...

My only Ti Spydie is a Ti ATR. The grip is fine. The handle shape and indexing holes probably have a lot to do with that; tho, the Ti itself does not seem slippery.

FWIW, my other knives with Ti handles (large Classic Sebbie, large and small Skirmish, CRKT S2) also seem secure in hand.

I had the pleasure of handling one recently. It will be my next :spyder: -buy, when I work it into the budget. Pluses for me: size is just right, similar to the Mainix 2. handle feels great, much better than the Manix 2. I especially like the way the pinkie grip is secure. blade is beefy and FFG. Co...

Great design. I have three: one D4 blue ZDP, ond D4 black VG-10 PE, and one SS VG-10 CE. I carry the black PE almost every day because it is just so useful!

Next up - some of those FFGs that everyone is raving about.

Mid 90's with occasional rain and/or thunderstorms - so, we're having our usual summer weather in sunny Florida.

I love the Florida summer heat! Transplants whine. I tell them to move back where they like the weather.

My dad gave me my first knife when I was 8. It's long gone, but it was a Cub Scout knife of the time with a 2-inch main blade, bottle opener, useless can opener, and a small blade. I carried and used it all over the farm, but not to school (Mom's rule). Fond memory. Thanks for asking and posting.

I have 3 D4's, all PE.

My first was the blue handled ZDP-189.

Then one in black with VG-10. That is the one I carry almost every day. It's easy to touch up the edge and handles most cuts with ease.

I also have a D4 with SS handles.
