Re: Which spyderco is in the mail?

Lil Sub hilt. sometimes I buy random knives I don't think I will like just to see if I will be proved wrong lol. *cough cough Battlestation, Vrango* Sounds like you, like me, don't live at a convenient distance from a big knife store. I pretty much have to buy them to try them out. This has been ex...

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

Thanks for the runner up spot Landon. It seems this thread is dying a slow death, we're already at Friday and not a single submission for this week. Maybe someone should start a thread to garner ideas on how to re-kindle interest? Label this an "EDC showoff" type thread and photos would pour in, ha...

That Phil Wilson Southforks will not budge though... Should have jumped when they hit 180, but didn't think they'd jump right back up.

Re: Spyderco Photo of the Week Contest!

Thanks! I actually agree about the editing. Rarely do much of that, but thought that one looked cool with the emphasized blade grind to contrast all the ball bearings.

Nice work everyone!

Re: I don't understand lockbacks being considered slow to operate

Technique. Also can depend on the particular backlock. My Caly's, and my Police 4 for example, both drop blade as soon as I depress the lock with my thumb, and the blade kick lands on my index finger so I don't get cut, and then goes into the handle. Easy and quick. I list both examples because some...

Re: Para-Manix-tary 2

Very subtle. Something most probably wouldn't even notice at a first glance. Thanks man. I suppose it is, but if you hold this one up to a stock Manix you see that I actually removed quite a bit of metal. I considered going full flat like on a pm2 but it just didn't look right on that knife in the ...

Re: Post Pics of your Favorite PAIR of Spydercos!

^ Fantastic combos there ^ I really like the thumb notch Rescues. Need to get my plain edge out for some use soon! Haven't added to this thread in awhile, so here's a primo pair that compliment each other well. Some PE / SE contrast. The index and middle finger placement feel somewhat similar betwee...

Re: Who would be in for a Cruwear/Carbon Fiber Millie?

I don't think they'll make another millie in cruwear, I mean people are still clamouring for a super blue caly and they haven't done it. As far as I'm aware Spyderco have never re-sprinted a sprint. Your best bet is probably to find one on the secondary market or to lobby a distributor/dealer to co...
