Re: Your favorite/“the best” Paramilitary

All round, this must be my ultimate PM2: https://i.imgur.com/GwfWY5B.jpg CPM Cruwear blade, and comfy contoured black canvas micarta scales from G10.lt. I didn't like the feel of the square edged, slab sided, smooth G10 scales. These ones are perfect, with their fibrous, 'grippier when wet', worn je...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

Not to double post, but I was looking at the knife and I wonder if you could take it apart and put it back together with the blades and lockbars in a reverse order. Make it a lefty knife. Everything looks symmetrical. Maybe someone wants to try it and find out. Wow, that would be really cool if it ...

This one: https://i.imgur.com/x7oOqKC.jpg At the beach? Looks like coral rock. Today I'm giving my S110V Military an unneeded break in favor of the Native 5 Maxamet. Yes indeed, you have a good eye. This pic shows the little cove that photo was taken in. The jumbled boulders are old lava flows. Loo...

Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?

It's actually a Dyad. Aside from being quite heavy, it's a fantastic knife. It pops spinters out better than anything and is surprisingly comfortable in the hand. It's so nice, that I bought a Micro Dyad for when I'm carying something else. https://preview.ibb.co/cjMKAJ/20180617_060109.jpg And if a...

Re: Lefty-friendly knives please

This seems like as good a place to ask as any... I've been seriously looking at the GB2 but I am worried that the pick would be difficult for me (a lefty) to disengage. Have any southpaws been able to make that one work well? Yeah, I brush my left thumb over the lockbar with a bit of inward pressur...

https://preview.ibb.co/bTfPsy/20180616_075802.jpg This "little" guy helped do some tending to my pico de galo garden this morning. I guess everybody is doing peppers today :) I have some reapers on the way. Good stuff! Nice to see the sun out, we get sporadic sunny days during winter down here in M...

Prepped the ingredients for a batch of hotsauce. https://i.imgur.com/oBJCEoZ.jpg Yum. I'm growing Reapers and Trinidad Chocolate Scorpions. It's gonna be a spicy autumn :) Thanks, that sounds like a tasty harvest coming up! https://i.imgur.com/QHzHBgO.jpg I used my Police to do some trimming and pr...

Re: Attack of the modern slipjoints!!!!

I believe Sal has said another slipjoint version of Alistair Phillips' Kapara is in the works somewhere. (The original custom versions were slipjoints.) I guess they'll watch and see how sales go on the upcoming compression lock model.

Re: Which is your most useful and most used Spyderco?

In terms of total hours used, probably my ZDP189 Dragonfly.

Runners up would be either my S30V PM2 or VG10 Delica, probably in that order.

All three of them have been noticeably reduced in blade size from sharpening.

My advice : get one while you can :)
Wise advice, my friend, I've been considering a second knife to allay the postage cost a little. :)

Edit: Thanks, got it, along with a HAP40 Manbug. (Sorry for the thread drift. :) )

Hey Cambertree you can still get a K390 Urban.. they are available in a few places... BBS is one of them
Thanks very much for the tip, Marius. BBS postage more than doubles the price of the knife, unfortunately, but I’ll certainly keep that in mind, should I fail to turn one up anywhere else. :)
