For me, it's the Nightstick, with the Sun/Moon Charparral a close second and the Rock Glass third.

Re: POLL: ENDELA: Who has already bought / will / will maybe / will not get one?

Having Endela, Stretch 1 and SS Stretch 2, I can absolutely comprehend those weight differences: The Endela actually clearly feels lighter, and has both a narrower (less tall) handle and blade. Given that also the liners are narrower, those amounts of less material (mostly steel) will add up to the...

Re: POLL: ENDELA: Who has already bought / will / will maybe / will not get one?

May pick one up, at some point, out of curiosity, for the collection. However it probably won't see pocket time since, while it would fit nicely in my back pocket, I strongly prefer models with a 50/50 choil for carry and the Stretch has one. The thing that makes me curious is the weight difference....

Re: Straight Spine Stretch

Did not know that even in the US the SS Stretch is still in stock... wonder why this is, given it´s such a great model in a size category many like... For ME personally it´s almost perfect so I can only speculate, why the sales are not super fast: 1. Steel: I love VG10 for a general EDC knife, but ...

Living where I live, I have to go with Clemson. Suspect I'll hear some of my neighbors shooting off fireworks and honking horns later tonight, if Clemson wins. :)

Re: I Don't Get The "Spydie-Flick."

Never, and no idea where it came from. I did try doing the Spydie-Drop a few times after watching Sal Glesser produce an open Military from his pocket in one smooth motion using it at the NYCKS in '04 but found it less reliable, for me, than simple thumb opening. Perhaps that's at least partly due t...

Re: Production LC200N

Not an expert at all, so I just repeat what I read several times (and have no idea if it's actually true or not): There are those who say S35VN is an "upgrade" over S30V only for the knife-maker, cause it's easier to work with, but really not for the knife user... what do you think? Haven't used ei...

Am going to make one "minor" change. Don't think anyone will mind, but these days you never can tell. :p Anyway, the winner will now have their choice of: this 2010 KnifeWorks Exclusive Spyderco M4 Titanium/G10 RIL Military (the original prize) http://paulberetta.com/images/contest/Contest%20Prizes_...

Re: Long Live The Kiwi!

I was wondering when you'd weigh in and I completely agree with you. Specifically with the inlay, it is the greatest little thing ever. The SS I had initially was a bit too thin for me, but the inlay gives it just the right amount of flat real estate to open effortlessly. The flat edge is dead simp...

Re: Production LC200N

To me, the biggest advantage LC200N has over H-1 is that it can be full flat ground in a production knife. I'm really enjoying my Autonomy 2 and I'd love to see a PE FFG Autonomy 1. :) It may never happen, but LC200N at least makes it possible.

Re: Long Live The Kiwi!

Nice catch on the David Yellowhorse "Night Eagle", Sumdumguy. Not many of those were made. The Kiwi is one of my "top ten favorite" Spyderco models and the model I have the most versions of, both factory and custom. They are, IMHO, the epitome of functional jewelry and there's been one in my watch p...

Re: Would you pay up-front for a Forum knife?

I'd be happy to pay up front for any knife chosen as the next Spyderco Forum Knife. Model, materials, and cost don't enter into it for me. I have every Spyderco Forum knife offered, to date, and consider them to be display pieces and a sub-collection within my collection, so my normal prejudices vis...

Re: Breaking down boxes with Chaparral

They're incredible little knives. Sal had gifted me with a pre-production CF Chaparral shorty before I started packing up to move from NY to SC in 2011. I decided to use it as my go-to knife for packing. Cut all kinds of cardboard, everything from cereal box thin to the tri-wall stuff used for major...

Re: Sal,may I ask: Any plans to give the "regular" Stretch 2 the shorter choil and longer edge of the straight spine spr

Sorry Wartstein, but this sounds like much ado about nothing. To me, at least, a tenth of an inch of blade length more or less is not that big a deal.
