Yeah. And in that respect, I do like the newer version. Both are wonderful pieces. I'm just splitting hairs.

Re: A Tale of 2 Nilakka's

I'm not really sure swigert. Also, the action on mine is noticeably smoother. Now, that could just be because mine has been oiled and opened and closed more. However, I don't remember mine being as stiff (that's a bad word, because its really not) mine was just smoothest when new.

A Tale of 2 Nilakka's

I've enjoyed my Nilakka so much that when the Sports Authority had them for $125 over the weekend, I got a back up. My original Nilakka was born January 2013. The new Nilakka I received today was born May 2014. Both are a little different. Like Blade thickness, Blade thinness, Handle length, and wei...

Wow. Very nice story! I'm so happy she's finally yours after 22 years! The date on the knife July 20,1989, I would be a high school Senior that fall, 25 years ago.....I'm truly happy it all worked out :)

Re: Any thin blade stock fans?

The Nilakka, being a zero grind. I really like this knife. So much so, I ordered a back up, when they were $125 from Sports Authority. I've yet to have any problems with mine. Although, it may happen. I believe Spyderco had some issues with the earliest models but, then corrected them? At least that...

The GB, is without a doubt, the very best value I've ever gotten in a knife. Lol, its just crazy that she can be had for under $150. That's my 2¢ anyways. YMMV :)

Re: New Gayle Bradley

Oh I've spent a lot of time with one in hand, my local shop almost always has one. Honestly I think weight is the biggest deterrent at this point. My Manix 2 lightweight really has me spoiled on weight. I've had good experience with M4 so I know I'd like the steel. The ergos are great, I dunno just...
