Re: One way to determine which knife is your favorite

Yeah, no doubt about it.
I'm thinking my Vallotton would be there till the bitter end. I'd sell my 90v and 110v blades before I would it. I just really like that knife.

Re: Spyderco/Farid K2

Just got mine, and this thing really is a beast, yet it doesn't handle like one really. I have only done a few open/closings and I love it. It also fits in the pocket very comfortably and you don't notice it. The lock is a bit stiff, but like the Navaja it just sort of needs to be approached differ...

I can't help but recommend the Vallotton.
Its as tough as it is exquisite. You just have to have one in hand to truly appreciate one. Polished G10....... Its an awesome Spydie.

Re: Maintenance tips?

I most all times use M-Pro7.
Sometimes, I'll use Weapon Shield w/ its needle applicator. Its from the same inventor as FP10. And, it smells good too :)

Re: Slysz Bowie!

Just got my Bowie in the mail and... I like it! I was worried about the clip, but it seems to go in and out of my pocket just as easily as any other. Fit and finish are great, the blade is sharp, and the action is smooth with good solid lockup. Ergos seem good for me, and I really like the blade sh...

Re: Spyderco's Taichung (Taiwan) Folders

I just got my second Taichung made Spyderco, a Vallotton, and it is so sweet. Just like my Gayle Bradley, it is perfect but compared to the popularity of the Gayle Bradley this Vallotton is really underrated. I love the blade with the hollow grind transitioning into a convex tip. Perfect lock-up, t...

Re: Spyderco/Farid K2 full review

Can't help but think an XL Manix (among others) would be mighty nice with CPM 10V
Which I think would be neat as the Manix 2 would have CPM S110V and its big brother the XL CPM 10V

Re: Why do I almost always choose a 3" EDC blade?

I really don't like anything under 3.5" I voted for 4". I realize I will be in the minority, but I really like as much blade as I can get. I live in the country, and there's not any real strict laws in NC that I know of. I also feel like, that if I'm gonna drop a lot of money on a pocket knife, then...

Re: Spyderco/Farid K2

Both Farid's and Ankerson's reviews prompted me to grab one of these beasts from the CS (can't beat Jeff's price)! Can't wait to see it in person. It was between this and the Slysz Bowie and the size, the insane blade steel, and the simplicity of the design (two screws in the whole handle, wow!) wo...

Re: Spyderco/Farid K2

Hey Jim, I recall the re-ground 110v Manix2 was around 3,000 yards. Maybe I'm not in the ballpark though. Also, are you slicing with a particular part of the blade or is it a full-blade cut? Regardless, that's an insane amount of cardboard. Kudos to the knife and more important: To your poor hand. ...
