I think the super blue clays were excluded from that gritty feeling. I'm not sure why but both my SB calls are incredibly smooth but my 3.5 vg10 came super gritty. I've felt a couple 3's and 3.5 in stores and they had the gritty feeling too. I can't recall how the ZDP-189 felt. My 3.5 vg10 is super...

I agree. My Caly 3.5 vg10 is smooth as glass. Now, I did add a couple drops of oil but nonetheless. Only my Vallotton is smoother. It is a perfectly executed liner lock. At least that's what most people say lol and I would certainly have to agree. Congrats. I would LOVE to have a Caly 3.5 SB Btw, di...

Yes. I just want what I want. If it happens to be a collectible, then so be it. Honestly, I don't really have the time, money or know how to seriously collect. But, I certainly do applaud those who can and do.

Strong-Dog wrote:You don't really need to maintain those steels. As long as you don't try to get them to rust, they pretty much won't. For lube I have to recommend nano-oil. Put two drops on each side of the pivot and be amazed.
Cool.

Negative. The photograph in the catalog shows the Manix 2 G-10 with black buttons : http://www.spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=418 I would imagine they very easily could have ran out of the clear ones and just used some of the black ones. Pretty cool its that way if ya ask me. Maybe even u...

Trust me, man, no matter WHEN you jumped into the game, you will just have missed something. When I first got bit by the Spydie, I actually had a BBS blue PM2 in the shopping cart, got called away for an hour, and they were sold out when I got back to the computer. Rookie mistake, but luckily for u...

Maybe the black ones are just on the XL's?
