Re: Well I'll Be Damned. I Made a Knife.

That's awesome PT! I had an amazing industrial arts teacher when I was a kid and we had a four year knife making course all through highschool. I made various fixed blades in that time and it was very rewarding watching them each one get better than the last. I can definitely relate to the "proud f...

Re: Kizer Knives

I've been wanting one for ages. Namely, the 5404A2. I just can't bring myself to do it yet. Everything I hear, they are an incredible value.
Just bought a ZT 0562CF. Almost could've gotten 2 of the Kizers for it. However, the ZT is M390, which I really like.

Re: Opinions of steel during real use

Honestly, I haven't used them enough to make an informed opinion. But, so far I'm really liking CTS-204P, CPM-M4, Aogomi Super Blue- these steels get really sharp with minimal effort. And then there is CPM-10V, CPM-S110V, and Bohler K390 which are all super sharp and hold an extremely good edge. I h...

Re: A Tale of 2 Nilakka's

Really starting to love the Nilakka, after having it for about a week now I'm really impressed with the fit and finish on this one, its just so smooth, the more I flip it and handle it the smoother it gets, the blade literally falls/glides home when released and the detent is perfect. Oddly enough ...

Re: Disappointed With Caly 3.5

Just add a couple drops of oil, and she'll be smooth as glass. My Caly3.5 and my Al Mar Eagle HD - both made in Moki were the same way and, after just two drops of M-Pro7, both are very smooth. The Caly 3.5, imo is one of the best edc knives you can get.
