Swick in other steels?

I am a big fan of neck knives and small fixed blades for backpacking. I usually keep one clipped to my shoulder strap on my pack while hiking and around my neck around camp. I bought a swick and was thinking of bringing it with me on some longer trips but was worried about needing to sharpen it. The...

I would like to see m4 in more models. The Bradley and the Air don't do it for me so I don't have much experience with m4.

I would like a pointier blade and a wire clip. I know most people like the tip of these blades the way it is but I more or less just accept it.

They have made wharnie delicas. Kahr arms had one made recently I believe.

The Merlin in ZDP or VG10.

No, it wouldn't be easy. I wouldn't try but the op was looking for anything but frn.

Free advice is worth what you pay for it sometimes. Sorry if it wasn't much help. :-)

If the stainless is too smooth add grip tape.

There is supposed to be a titanium Damascus delica which could also be a source for scales that are not frn.

I thought I didn't like frn. I was wrong.

You said any scales. Buy a stainless delica. Swap the blades.

I haven't owned as many spyderco models as others but I am sitting in golden right now and am lucky enough to work a couple of miles from spyderco. I go there to fondle their knives often and I bought a sage 3 because I have not handled a spyderco so smooth and easy to open. Most of them are smooth,...

I bought a sage3 cf but it is my dress knife and I don't dress up much. I've only carried it a few times and I only got it for light duty. I have used it a lot for light duty stuff while carrying it. I personally like the grip on the sage for light duty edc work but not so much for heavy cutting. On...

No patina here either. You would have to want it to happen and force it. I haven't tried to prevent it and it isn't happening.

A Grey CPM Cruwear Para2 would be nice to go with my millie. M4 or s110v would also be cool and very popular. Some carbon steel and tool steel sprints would be ideal for me. K390, CPM Cruwear, CPM M4 or (I know it is a step backwards to some) 52100 or similar would be my top picks. I have always lov...

Love, love, love thumb ramps. Indifferent to choils. They are indispensable on some knives and needless on others. I always use the choil on my sage but rarely use the choil on my millie. I use both grips a lot on my Para2 and don't notice the choil missing on my delica. I don't have a Native becaus...

If it is the blade shape your after then it would be too similar to the manix probably. A scaled up sage3 would be very similar to a manix and they both have locks that I really enjoy. I don't prefer backlocks so if it is a scaled up sage1 I would have to pass. Really depends on scale material and l...

Sage5 w/integral compression lock would be awesome and doable but if it was titanium it would be a lot like a Sage2 in appearance and price. We'll see.

The only sage I have is a sage 3 and I love it. I really like the bolt lock. Smooth.................... The only thing I changed was the clip. I like black clips on black knives so I swapped that out. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u93/bearfacedkiller/knives/IMG_16801.jpg I would like to see a c...
