Re: The Last Gun You Bought

I have no issues shooting a jframe with a two finger boot grip. We all prioritize different things but ease of carry is pretty much my top priority. That is why I carry an LCP most often. I like to pocket carry so for me boot grips are the only way to go. :)

Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's

No need to apologize my friend. You are sharing knowledge which is an under appreciated form of generosity in my opinion. You taught me something I didn’t already know. Thanks. Also, I am an Irish kid from Boston. I am not easily insulted or offended. You didn’t say anything bad about my mother or a...

Re: Spydeco Knife & Gun's

I was aware that it is a scandium/aluminum alloy.

I was unaware that some of the airweights didn’t have scandium added. I guess that explains why the 360 costs twice as much as the 442?

Why is the 317 kit gun so expensive? It probably doesn’t have scandium added?

You can take metal off a blade but you cannot put it back. Best bet is to regrind that tip.

Re: Model longest in production

The sharpmaker has had a few revisions with new model numbers.

The CO7 Police has had a few changes but still maintains the C07 model number.

The Harpy is C08 but I don’t know if it came before the Police or not?

I think that C07 is the longest continually running model number.

Yup, there was a CF/S90V.

I expect a M390/204P/20CV to happen soon.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???

I’ve got a stihl ms250 that i like. It is light and powerful enough. The huskies do seem a little easier to start. We got a small huskie climbing saw recently. I’ll seenif I can get a pic. It’s awesome! It has a twelve inch bar and weighs 10 pounds.

I’ve got more than a few hours on a 455 Rancher. Husky saws are great.

Re: Schempp Rock 'Chopper' idea

I would like to use it as a woods tool for things like shelter building, firewood prep and clearing shooting lanes for hunting. I live in the northeast so I mostly deal with hardwoods around here. My Schempp Rock just didn’t have the weight for that. I would like to chop, baton and do some carving. ...

Re: Is it possible to sharpen knives by only stroping?

A strop is not required to achieve tree topping sharpness Stropping with an abrasive added to your strop isnt really stropping. It is sharpening at a fine grit on a soft surface. I only strop my kitchen knives and that is a rare occasion. I don’t strop to maintain sharpness. I strop to put that fina...

Re: Anyone else dislike the wire pocket clip?

I strongly prefer than standard spoon clip but I carry both. I think that the wire clip is better for small knives and gents knives. I prefer bigger knives which work well with the spoon clip.

Re: tracker knife

It is a polarizing design. Folks either love them or hate them. I have seen folks on YouTube demonstrate some impressive skills with one. I haven’t personally used one and it doesn’t appeal to me. The only way to know if it works for you is to buy one and play with it in the woods a little. Haven’t ...

If you see either one of the first Chief sprints in stock I wouldn’t hesitate.

I am ready to go...
Ha, you and me both!

What piece(s) are you going for?
The Rex45 definitely but maybe both.
