Re: Anyone else interested in a LW Native Chief?

I think the weight difference between the current linerless Chief and a possible frn Chief would mostly be in the backspacer. A G10 backspacer instead of the stainless one would get the current Chief even lighter. I like frn but I have really started to love the current linerless Natives and am look...

Re: The backup that helps you sleep at night... ;)

Sold all my backups. Too many years went by without needing them so I sold them and spent the money on other knives. In the end backups were just tying up money I would rather spend elsewhere. I do have multiple flavors of knives I enjoy. For example, I had two 2013 Forum Native5s so I sold one of t...

Re: Are you a collector?

I am a hoarder. Folders are 90% Spydercos. Fixed blades are 10% Spydercos. I am not a collector in the sense that I don’t follow a pattern and don’t pay attention to resale values. I buy knives that I think I will enjoy using. On the other hand, I own way to many knives to deny that I don’t have som...

Re: KnifeCenter CPM-CRUWEAR Native 5 with smooth black G10

Well, this happened today. :D Been wanting a Native5LW in Cruwear for a long, long time. My well loved Maxamet blade works well in the smooth G10 handle too. I am quite pleased with this swap.

Re: BBS DLC Paramilitary 2 Exclusive?

I paid $200 plus $12 shipping for my Elmax Para2 from BBS. No regrets either. :D This should be at least that much.

Re: spyderco/esee collab?

The Enuff is dimensionally similar to the Izula2. They just need to switch the scales from frn to canvas micarta. My Izula has an edge so thick that it is fairly useless for me. I very, very much prefer the BK14 over the Izula. I prefer my Street Beat over either one of them. Thanks for the insight...

Re: Handle Scales Materials

Peel ply can make different textures too. They basically apply a textured layer to the top when they make the composite and peel it off after they are done and it leaves the texture it has on the surface of the composite. I believe peel ply actually refers the process as well as the removable part. ...

Re: Removing this bastard lanyard tube?

I just stick a pen or dowel in it and pry away until it comes out. I wish they weren’t flared. My Para2 S110V wasn’t flared and many of my Taichung folders aren’t flared. I took the lanyard tube out of my k2 and put it in the box because it rattled so much. Maybe that is why they are flared? The one...

That clear/white thread locker out of Taichung is no joke. I buggered up a screw on my K2 because of it.
