Re: New Steel – Crucible S45VN

I have found S30V to be a little corrosion prone for a stainless steel so this may be a welcome improvement. I have seen quite a few people on the internet incorrectly state that S35VN has nitrogen. I guess they just assume the N is nitrogen? Maybe this S45VN will clear that up. I expect to see knif...

Re: Is it time for the PM2 to come with tip up carry from the factory?

If I recall correctly, Spyderco has mentioned this is in the past and they ship the PM2 with the clip tip down because they've noticed a majority of the PM2's they get back for warranty work have the clip positioned for tip down carry. :spyder: I see their point, but I don't think that's a fair ass...

Meh...

Not for it or against it. I am not a fidgeter and I think knives look cleaner without it so I probably lean away from the idea.

Tip down for life! I wish it was right hand tip down only without all the extra holes but that is just me being selfish.

Seriously? Who cares? Just move the clip. ;)

I am going to buy the #8 Garden Knife soon. Not too excited about it being stainless but the blade shape looks great.

Re: Opinel "Challenge"

I have kept a #9 in the console of my truck for a long time now. I also carry it on occasion too.

They are super lightweight, super ergonomic and they are ground super thin. It may not be the most wear resistant steel but a knife this thin will keep cutting anyway.

I believe this is Shaggy Mane and I believe it is edible. Unfortunately a lawn this nice probably isn’t natural so I will let them be.

Re: KnifeCenter CPM-CRUWEAR Native 5 with smooth black G10

I like the smooth G10. It is the color black that I could have done without. Either way, I bought this knife and really like it! I liked the smooth green Native also but didn’t need another Native in S90V. I did “need” a Native in Cruwear. I guess it shows how fickle we are? A Cruwear Native moves s...

Looks really nice! I have zero use for a bag like this but if they ever do a regular backpack or rucksack then I would be in.

Re: Straight Spine Stretch

Besides the advantages/disadvantages of a more acute point it will behave about the same as the standard Stretch.

This straight spine Stretch might kill all desire I have for an Endela.

I hope this sells well so that maybe we can get a K390 Stretch in BOTH blade shapes. :D

Re: Interest for Cruwear Micarta Manix Backlock?

I did buy a black S30V Shaman but that is rare for me. I missed out on the Manix Backlock waiting for a sprint. So far I am also still waiting for a Chief sprint. If the Chief ends up getting the axe then I will buy a black/S30V version before they are gone but probably at close out prices which doe...

Re: Long Term Maintenance Suggestions?

I just make sure to put them in the safe clean and dry. I also have a can of desiccant in the safe. Other than that I don’t do anything special and I never check on them. I haven’t found a rusty knife unless I put it away dirty.
