Re: Sydney fires

We often use words like awful, terrible, terrifying and dismay, but that footage demonstrates what they really mean.

Re: Sydney fires

That version of Waltzing Matilda is pretty moving. I once read that they built a quay from the dead men’s packs from one of the British Pals regiments at Gallipoli. It’s a place I would like to visit one day. But jeez, that ABC film has moved me to tears in moments. It’s footage from hell itself. I’...

Re: Chaparral LW vs. (new) BM Mini Bugout

****, thanks for all the replies! Did not expect to get this kind of response. And thanks for the welcome Sal! After much thought, I'm leaning towards the Chap. I love Spyderco and bought my first one (C26SBK Snap-it) decades ago. Since then I've owned a DF in G-10, and my current carry, a DF2 whar...

Re: Spydiechef vs Kapara

Kapara for me, after a catch and immediate release on a Spydiechef this weekend. The Spydiechef is a great knife for sure but I prefer the handle ergo’s and lower weight of the Kapara. And the lock.

Re: Knife Return and Customer Support- Is this normal?

You don’t mention whether it had lock stick before modification. Reinstate it to it’s original spec. If it still has lock stick, send it in.

I don’t think it reasonable to expect them to assess and adjust the aftermarket parts you have fitted.

I thought the reference to the British accent a little off-colour! :D

I would be very happy for any of those 4!

What would best suit SPY27, I wonder?

Just saw this ...

“Based on an earlier report of the fatalities, when just 17 were dead, most of the victims appeared to be older people, many with pre-existing medical conditions.”

Re: Corona Virus, Chinese Origin, Now In the USA

China propagates more virus strains because there are far more people, and far more people living in very close proximity to their livestock birds and animals.

The chances of virus mutations jumping species is therefore much higher.

This looks more like ‘flu than ebola, to me.

I find the whole “scalper” thing and all the associated bitching here an never ending source of amusement. :) I reckon good luck to them! They’re not breaking any laws and we live in capitalist societies. The problem isn’t with the “scalpers”. They’re most likely average Joes trying to make a dolla...

Re: Urban discussion

I’m about to try the Urban for the 4th time! I’ve had the Elmax, K390 and AEB-L versions but preferred the Elmax Squeak, s110v & s30V UKPKs for my legal carry. I’ve got another K390 on the way to displace the s110v UKPK in my work bag. I think it’s added toughness, marginally lighter weight and even...

Re: My playlist Movie Songs

Thanks Chris. The Breakfast Club is among my ATFFs, and Don't You Forget About Me is a great song. Just one step away from being good enough for MY playlist. Eye Of The Tiger's the same. The others don't trigger any emotions in me. I'm sure they're great though, don't get me wrong. No hurt feelings...
