I received my serrated H1 dragonfly today
very smooth, actually smoother than my FRN DF2
absolutely no blade play

It's my first salt series knife, and my first serrated Spydie .. I think will really enjoy this knife!

Welcome to the forum :)
It's not long since I was choosing my first spyderco as well, probably around 2-3 months ago
I went with the Delica4, but now I also own an orange FRN dragondly 2
Love them both, it's just a matter of size preference

The only SS knife I have the the Byrd robin2, which is pretty much a byrd version of the dragonfly It's my small-task beater knife.. The drawback to SS I can think of is the complete lack of handle grip the handle gets extremely slippery esp if you use it for a few minutes and your hands start sweat...

They do indeed seem to be scarce on the market these days, eBay and the forums seem to be the only avenue. I wonder if there's a general holdup on the entire Native 5 line... I also keep getting emails the last few weeks from GPKnives to make sure my payment info is up to date for my peel ply CF/S1...

I absolutely love my delica4, which happened to be my first Spyderco
VG-10 FFG blade, razor sharp with epic slicing capability..ergonomic and thin but very grippy handle ..awesome 4-way clip, very light, and all that for such low price? what's there not to love?!!

I've been considering a caly3 for a while but I havent really been able to sell it to myself.. To me it just seems like a gentleman's delica.. Same blade shape, very similar size.. I cant see it as an edc blade, so even if I have one I'd probably just keep it in the drawer and keep using the delica ...

Good review!
I have an orange FRN dragonfly2 and love it, but I actually gave in to the "everyone has to have at least one salt knife" and ordered a serrated h1 dragonfly
my first h1 blade and first serrated spydie .. looking forward to it :)

I've already considered chaparral when I was trying to choose between that and Sage 1 (went with Sage 1)
I'd probably re-consider it when the one with CTS-XHP hits the Canadian retailers..they all still seem to have the S30V Chaparral

as my sign line indicates I have the dragon fly and native lightweight, and am considering the kiwi as I love wharnies.
Yea, I'm actually now trying to decide between a salt series knife (either salt-1 or Dragonfly h1) and Native-5
