You know, I wouldn't at all be opposed to seeing some extra-terrestrial Spydercos. The truth is out there, and so are some wicked knives.

Good luck. My wife is scared of knives too. I gave her a Ladybug a couple years ago, and she never used it once. It's long lost now. She'd rather struggle with using her fingernails or keys anyway. My girlfriend wields a 10" Chef's knife with ease and no worries. I hand her my Southard or PM2 thoug...

Designed by an American company. Sold by an American company. Profits go to an American company, which helps pay the wages of their American work staff. Just so happens that it's put together in Japan since they have unique steels not available in the US. Honestly, I don't see the problem people have.

I'm in the process of setting up a YouTube channel for video reviews. I want my reviews to contain all the useful information people need to make informed purchase decisions, and very high quality close-up video of the items, along with size comparisons. I would keep them concise, with no rambling ...

Today's combo: http://i.imgur.com/PfYsBP7.jpg I love the Zebralight SC52! Such a great EDC light, and amazingly bright with a 14500. I gave a lot of consideration to the SC52, but I ended up getting seduced by the titanium shinyness of the D25A. I may end up having to pick up one of those in the fu...

Put a brick in your pants pocket, now you know!

I handled a MPR at a local shop and I thought I would like it but I really didn't. Techno is slim by comparison.

I was thinking of getting that Preon Ti, is that the P1? How do you like it? Looks good worn in like that and it compliments the Caly perfectly. Is that the 3 or 3.5?

Show your Light/Saber combo!

Post up some pictures of your favorite EDC light and knife combinations! I know some of you are really into flashlights as well, I'm curious if you have combinations you like to pair together? Or do you have certain combos you use for certain situations? Dressy/Outdoors/Camping/Tactical? I just star...

Ive owned 2 of the SB 3.5s and sold both of them because they both had a large amount of vertical blade play. I looked around online and found out that it was a problem for this run. So be careful and ask questions when looking to buy Was that also a problem with the Superblue Caly 3? I have been s...

That's the key for me too. IF man is the major cause of climate change, the only logical solution is the one that's unthinkable - reduce the human population by 50% worldwide with the next 5 years. Everything else is either a feel good palliatives, pie in the sky speculation, or an attempt to promo...

Me, I wouldn't touch 'em with a bargepole- mainly because any product relying on the endorsement of a TV 'survivalist' when the kit in question isn't the kit he uses on the TV programme is certain to be dross. Do we believe that Marco Pierre White, Michelin starred chef, actually uses those stock c...

What kills it for me is that it doesn't have a 50/50 choil. Looking at it, it looks like one could easily be incorporated into the design which would make it much more useful IMO.

Actually, you know what? Just make a FRN Caly 3.

Ugh....someone talk some sense into me. I can't lie, this thread has really bummed me out on my new Southard purchase. I'm not seeing the correlation with Strider. If anything, it's more the "poor" man's Hinderer XM-18 3".

Awesome pics MCM, thank you so much! Syncharmony, I did my own guesstimates on just the blade lengths of the Kiwi and Spy-DK in that pic and the dimensions listed for these knives in the 2014 catalog. Per my measurements, the Dice's blade edge is about 2.2-2.25" long and the overall blade length is...

Based on those pictures, seeing the Dice next to the Kiwi 4 we can draw some conclusions about it's size. The overall length of both of them looks about the same, which is 6.78 inches listed in the catalog for the Kiwi. The kiwi's blade looks like it is a little longer and handle a little shorter, t...

Good job ! :D rather than touching up at 40 degrees per side, I recomment pinching the top of the rods in, (you can keep them in place with a rubber band even) That will change the inclusive angle to about 36 inclusive...... there is such a huge sharpness leap between 40 and 36 I keep meaning to tr...

Unbrokenchain33 wrote:the Dice gonna be like a dragonfly flipper? If so, gonna have to pick it up if it's < $100
If the full size street value is around 180-190, I would expect the Dice to be about 160. No chance at all it will be under a hundred. It's still the same materials and technology, just smaller.
