Re: Friction Folder - Do We Know Anything? Sal?

I know there's a market for them. I just don't "get it." What is the appeal? In most cases non-locking folders are easy and inexpensive to make, very easy to clean and maintain(few or none parts) and don't have issues like lock rock, sticky lock, weak detent, lock breakage etc.. And the b...

Re: Is it me?

To be honest, most of what I saw in the Amsterdam Meet thread ranged from "yawn" to "Boo, hiss" on my personal interest meter, so I don't hold out much hope for things improving soon. Too many features that other people want leave me cold. I hate to admit this, but have to agree...

I guess if there is a need for you to defend your home the gun choice dilemma is your least problem.

The maker(Moki) uses solid Super Blue.

Speaking of grey G10 and SB, is the C54 Calypso a possibility to receive this treatment? Is this one made by the Japanese maker that uses solid SB?

Yes as far as I know it is made by Moki and they use solid SB. I would love a Calypso with SB.

Re: New Release! - Police 3 with ZDP-189 and Titanium Scales

I agree superblue over zdp. Especially if it's solid superblue. Would be one **** of a slicer. You seem to be a wise man. :) think it would be cool to have a handle material that could patina along with the blade. Super blue? :p No seriously pretty much everything that forms a patina is at least as...

I mean exactly what I wrote. A bullet got stuck in the barrel. Bad ammo.. Called a "SQUIB" load.. No or not enough powder to send bullet.. Shot competion for many yrs and saw this more than a few times.. Usually with reloads.. John :) Yes I know. This has already been explained...

However one time a bullet got stuck inside the barrel of my father's second generation Glock. Do you mean a "bullet" got stuck in the barrel? ... If you meant "cartridge" and "chamber" rather than barrel,... I mean exactly what I wrote. A bullet got stuck in the barrel...

Re: New Release! - Police 3 with ZDP-189 and Titanium Scales

Certainly worth a discussion. The Police 3 is a very mature and functional design. Large for many areas legally. I like it but I'm biased. I would not be opposed to a G-10 ZDP version. a Ti version could get expensive, but not opposed to that either. Don't know if I can get BRG G-10. Will have to i...

I also prefer this kind of steel but I wonder why you are disappointed they won't use 204P. Do you know it's composition?

Re: Positron/Ion topic

What's wrong with S30V? To me it seems like a much better choice compared to 204P. I would even prefer 154CM, 440C or something like that.
BTW I would be interested in how they came up with the names Positron and Ion. Those are also pretty different things actually.

Re: Blade show 2015 news thread

I am probably going to get blasted but a lot of these newer designs strike me as almost "fantasy" genre knives and interest me very little... Me too. To be honest I don't like this new trend. Unusual, fancy custom framelock/linerlock designs combined with expensive materials don't seem to...

Re: ClipiTool Beer Bottle Opener Photo Album

Here is what I found. Source! What I always figured was 130 calories for regular beer and 100 calories for light beer is hardly worth the consideration. Now, in wine and beer, what are the calories coming from if not carbohydrates, grains, and sugars? There could be trace amounts of fat. There isn'...

Re: ClipiTool Beer Bottle Opener Photo Album

Well, wine does have some, but only around 4g per glass, or less. Beer on the other hand has 13g or more, depending on the type. I just had to go through this with my doctor and dietician. Wine does not even count on the Carb exchange unless you are a guzzler. 4g/13g of what? I hope you are aware t...

Glocks are said to be very reliable and it's not hard to believe for me because of the simple construction and few parts. However one time a bullet got stuck inside the barrel of my father's second generation Glock. No idea how that could happen but I guess the reason was lack of care and cleaning....

I'm glad to hear you didn't quit on me. :) A good Bock beer is hard to beat. Why give up drinking beer? Hey, wine has no carbs! You can't be serious that fermenting grape juice magically removes all sugar from it! :) The process is neither magical nor does it remove sugar. But it actually does conv...
