Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

The pattern is only printed on the top of the G10, underneath it's just natural/jade G10. I wonder if availability of another type of camo is even an option. Having started this thread, I suspect it really comes down to this. Spyderco probably has to wait for the G10 manufactures to offer an update...

Re: Do most of us need larger knives?

I prefer larger knives. Larger handles are more comfortable in my XL hands, and I find larger blades to be more versatile. I typically won't carry a knife with a cutting edge that is less than 3" unless I need to do so for PC or legal reasons. Ideally, I prefer the cutting edge to be closer to 4". D...

Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

...but more importantly, loads of civilians dig MIL-type camo, so an update of the camo pattern might not be a bad idea. Yes, this is what prompted me to start the thread. Spyderco offers their Military series in a MIL-type camo. That makes total sense. Unfortunately the current camouflage pattern ...

Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

i never cared for the camo pattern handle scales, but i get why people like them. personally, i'd rather see more of what we saw in the recent para 3 exclusive (i forget where) with the od scales and brown blade coating. the colors are there and would match a multicam uniform, but i think it looks ...

Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

I always like camo patterns on the right types of knives like the PM2 and Millie. Care must be taken because it can make the knife look cheap. I have always wanted Mossy Oak or something. However, the new US military pattern would be a good one to have, as well. (I wonder why they got rid of the di...

Re: Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

Cami is hard because it alienates a certain percentage of the market. I can see sprint runs being done but not sure how how many needed to make it viable. I'm not suggesting that Spyderco should stop offering the Military/PM2/P3 series in black. My recommendation is that they should update their ca...

Is it Time for a New Camo Pattern?

The primary utility uniforms of the US Army and the US Air Force now feature the Operational Camouflage Pattern (OCP) originally developed for use in Afghanistan. OCP is very similar to the popular MultiCam pattern that many are familiar with. The US Marines and the US Navy also have their own "Mult...

Re: The SE mentality shift

I discovered the benefits of the SpyderEdge about two years ago when I used a Rescue 3 in preparation for a household move. I was very impressed by its ability to cut everything from cardboard to old garden hose to large plastic toys that wouldn't fit in the trash bin...all with relative ease. But w...

Re: SPYDEREDGED Sprint Runs: It's Way Past Time

I've really been enjoying my PM2 with FFG spyderedge. They aren't past models, but I'd like to see the Military and Police 4 in spyderedge.
