Nope she only asked me a couple times then stopped. She has her own hobbies so it all works out.

Re: Lefty Para2 and suspicious box

The knife looks just like my lefty PM2 that I bought from Knifeworks in 2017. When I shine a light on the logo it has the similar "cutout" look. Mine does not have the detent ball cutout, however. Here are pics of the box from mine. https://i.ibb.co/qM0Ksdy/IMG-3179.jpg https://i.ibb.co/D1...

Re: Magnacut

because if you grind it at a thinner angle, it gets thinner. or are you talking about behind the bevel rather than behind the edge? I define the edge as the apex. so if I take a stock Pacific Salt and grind the bevel back to 10dps the blade will definitely be thinner right behind the apex. We have ...

The GB1 was a regular production knife so I can’t see a reason they couldn’t run a batch and put it back in the catalog for a year. One batch may satisfy many who never got one or would like a back up.
I've got a backup but I think I need a backup for the backup.

Re: Blade Finish Quality

Stonewash vs satin has nothing to do with quality. It's just a design choice for the blade finish. I see nothing wrong with the satin finishes on the blades.

Gayle Bradley 3 Possibility?

I'd love to see a "GB3" using the GB1 design but with contoured G-10 scales like the Shaman instead of the proud liners. For steel, M4, K390, or Magnacut would probably all sell well. For hard use, Magnacut would probably be the best choice due to the high toughness and corrosion resistanc...

Re: Non-Stainless Blade Models From Spyderco

K390 and XHP are definitely “other than stainless” and they’re some of the most recommendable blade steels out there. Once you start considering steel qualities other than stainlessness, it opens up a lot of great options. EDIT: just saw the non-PM stipulation. Any particular reason for that? CTS-X...

Re: This is disappointing...

I wouldn't pay $20 for a knockoff knife because there's a baseline reason to distrust the parts going into it. Says it's a Spyderco, it's not, says it's S30V steel... probably not. Seems like the easiest way to end up with two $10 halves of a knife. Don't get me wrong, I have beater knives that I p...

Re: How about a mini manix 2?

This has been brought up MANY times before. Some are for it, some are not. I find the Manix to be knife perfection as it is, why mess with perfection! ...for when we need perfection in a smaller platform! A Manix at my job would be a big problem for HR. Even a Delica can be problematic. At work my ...

Re: GOAT : Spyderco fejesgörbe bicská

Mine has slight vertical play. I sent it in and they said it was within spec but they could try to bend the lockbar and I said not to mess with it. It's a really nice knife. I think it would have looked a bit nicer if the spine had a swedge or was crowned, but overall it feels great in hand and cuts...

Re: Spyderco Value Knives

The Byrd Cara Cara 2 at around $20 is one of the best deals out there on a folder. Nice, thin stock. Secure lock. The two I bought were sharp out of the box. I gave one to a relative in Scouts. It seems to have served him well for the last year. The $30 Bow River fixed blade is really nice. The leat...

Re: S30V, VG-10; But If I Had A Choice???

I pass on knives that I can't use as a lefty. S30V and VG-10 are both great. That's an interesting topic you bring up. Because I don't see as many "lefty" Spyderco models as I did a few years back. However I think it's fair to say that most of the models I really like tend to be ambidextr...

Re: Super happy with my New Mantra 2

I ordered one of these as well. I didn't read the specs, so it was a bit smaller than I had imagined, but it's a really nice size for office carry. It has nice flipping action, the stonewash looks good, and I really like CPM-M4. It packs a lot of cutting edge length into a pretty small package.

Re: Note to self - only let the GF carry stainless knives...

You can also try abrading it away with a paste of baking soda and water or something like Flitz. Neither will hurt the knife, but avoid getting them in the pivot area.

Re: Is the Bow River sold out?

I've been thinking about picking one of these up. It's unfortunate the sheath is right-handed only, but for the price I can deal with that. I'm looking forward to seeing some reviews on these. $32.50 is cheap for a nice fixed blade.
