Re: Smokey Mountain knife Works.

My wife and I stopped there on the way back from David Crockett Birthplace Campground year before last. I tried to race through the place in about two hours -- it would have taken 4 or 5. They have an amazing amount of antique and other knives, artifacts, an indoor stream, and interesting exhibits o...

Re: Manix 2 or Manix 2 XL

- Courious: What do you mean by "prominent edges of the FRCP handle"? For me (ymmv of course! :) ) the Manix LW feels noticeble more comfortable in hand than the G10, exactly because the LW has a bit "rounder" edges and first and foremost a smooth, closed back... - Just to be clear: While the actua...

Re: Manix 2 or Manix 2 XL

For years I've thought of the XL as my favorite platform and if I were having to give up knives, I'd hang onto them til the last. They really fit my hand perfectly... but I really don't carry them nearly as much as I do my regular Manix 2's, which also fit my hand perfectly. (I have XXL hands, but m...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

There is a faint click when I break the detent I can't imagine what would cause this. I have 5 Manix 2 and 2 Manix 2 XL and only this newest one makes the click. I've had a couple that do this, usually negligible, but once, with a Flytanium ball cage, it was more pronounced and I could see that it ...

Re: TeroTuf!

I'm intrigued by these and have ordered a pair of the new checkered ones in tan for a Manix 2. I think they have some ready or nearly ready to ship, but they're drilled for right hand clip mounting only. They don't drill the left scale unless you request it. However, they leave a flat place under th...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

Mine came today (Monday) too. I was surprised, since they said they were using econo shipping and implied that it might be later in the week. Mine also has a good, slightly wider grind, which I much like. On mine, the spine of the blade is a little thicker toward the tip than than on my S90V XL.

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

Congrats to all that picked one up. I want to see some pics and video of them being used. I was hoping to snag one but thanks to COVID-19 for getting me laid off from work and the state of North Carolina for screwing me around on unemployment I am broke. It’s awesome being laid off for 10 week’s an...

I must be the only one who got the "Sold Out" message in the first minute or so as I hammered on the reload page button... luckily I kept on trying.

Re: Manix 2 Lock Stick

I have at times (rarely), needed to take a drill bit, in a pin vise (General tools #93), and make the four screw holes, ever so slightly larger. Giving more room for things to better line-up, and have room for slight adjustment. If I remember correctly? Because it's been a while. Just before puttin...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

I didn't even want a Manix until I saw this one. Even my 9 year old daughter likes the scales. You might want to go ahead and try for one of these. Since the original C95 Manix came out in 2004, they've made a run with a new blade steel every 8 years on average :p They did make one with glow-in-the...

Re: BladeHQ M4 Manix XLs

I usually have a knife-only dedicated pocket too, so the size doesn't cause me any pocket problems. I used to wonder about the choice of placement for the XL clip, mainly because it leaves so much of the handle sticking out of the pocket, then one day I realized that the clip fits perfectly in the s...

Re: Reveal 5 K390 Seki City FRN

I'm hoping for a K390 Police 4 LW, Endela, Straight Spine Stretch, Jester, Delica Wharnie, and Dragonfly Wharnie in the next reveal. Hi Steelcity, No plans for a Jester. sal Sal, can you comment on the Stretch? I'd love one either way, but a Straight Spine Stretch would be lovely. Same question for...

Re: Pacific Salt on markdown

I have personally bought near 5 of them from eBay, all were 100% as expected. They had black blades, black handles, in PE, and all were 100% new/unused/authentic CQI models. To top it off, each were around $50-$60. They’re my go-to gift knife, since this is how I was first introduced to Spyderco. I...

Re: Pacific Salt on markdown

I just ordered a "BBK" SE Pacific Salt from Knifeworks yesterday. This knife and the Manix2, pictured in profile on Amazon, were really what first drew me to Spydero many years ago. At that time I bought the yellow Pac Salt instead (not from Azn), thinking that the black/black one would be too scary...

Re: Mule Team Survey

1) Did you purchase a Mule Team knife in the past? 7 or 8 including one or two for a Canadian friend and one from eBay to "collect" 2) Did you put a handle on it? Put handles on 3 of them and bought about a half dozen sets of scales from Halpern Titanium for the rest 3) Did you make or buy a sheath?...
