Re: Spyderco Face Mask

Hi Julia, 10 years too late now. I try to get things going about 10 years ahead so when the time comes, we're already established and know what we're doing. The UKPK is such an example. Re: Spyderco Face Mask

About 10-15 years ago, Gail, Eric and I were thinking to make decorator masks because we felt that sometime in the future, more people will follow the Japanese in wearing a mask when one was sick.

Re: Sharpening a Knife

Hi Chris, Your Sharpmaker comes with a DVD on using the tool. I would suggest that you watch it closely. It is designed to give you an overall view on sharp edges. We invented the Sharpmaker because sharpening knives with a flat stone is not easily done. Having flat stones with no experience is like...

Re: Tatanka

Oh man, that beast makes the Military look small! So what's the difference btw a powerlock and a backlock? Thanx for the pics Reject. Hi Julia, The Powerlock was invented by Kimiuki Sakai in Seki City, Japan. The main difference between the back-lock and the Powerlock is the extra part in the lock ...

Hi Ladybug,

The only path that I can see would be to create a model for that purpose and plan the options before we begin.

Re: CPM SPY27 steel

We will all get to test our "baby" together.....in the real world. Today I'm carrying a production Cobalt blue Para 3 with an SPY27 blade. I know I'm biased, but I'm also honest. This is a very impressive knife. From Eric's design, material quality, function, fit, finish, closing, lock-up and especi...

Re: Reveal 5 K390 Seki City FRN

I'm hoping to see the K390 Police4 LW come out soon; I note it was not included in this new Seki lineup. I have a feeling these (and the P4LW whenever it happens) will be quite popular! Sal already said it was happening I'm hoping for a K390 Police 4 LW, Endela, Straight Spine Stretch, Jester, Deli...

Re: Reflections on the Spyderco Native: My cutting origin story

Sal- I'm sitting here looking at My Native 5. It's beautiful! Can you elucidate on the Native blade? Is it based on a Clovis point? Or something else? Is there an official 'origin story' for the Native blade? Best, Chris Hi Chris, Glad you like it. Many years ago, a knife company came to me and ask...
