Hey Cambertree,

The "ProFiles" were a predecessor to the Golden Stone. The Golden Stone was designed in '78 when the Sharpmaker was designed but the technology wasn't there to build it. We held on to the concept for years until we finally made the Duckfoot and then the Golden Stone.

We got new quotes on the 701 Profiles and we felt they were too expensive t make them and be successful.

It's a mini Endura. The first Ladybug was a shrunk down Endura that was suggested by Sumio Sakai. It was originally a test. I redesigned the model later to be more ergonomic.

Hi Kat, The CBN stones are more for re-profiling the edge. Light strokes. I use them to make sure the two sides of the edge are met. It is possible that you can get some edges shaving sharp with just CBN. We have a new CBN flat stone with 400 mesh on one side and 1,000 mesh on the other side. I shar...
